Assassin's Creed 2 does improve on the elements of the first game in most ways. The more freedom that is given to complete tasks and missions is very fun. The main downside to the game is the the PC port. Mostly, the controls are horrible for the PC. I know most people will say, "You can re-map them," but that is not possible. The Assassin's Creed games were originally designed for controllers for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. Trying to navigate the Assassin's tombs are a nightmare with the PC controls. This issue was also in Assassin's Creed 1. Luckily, Brotherhood and Revelations allowed controller support i.e. Xbox 360 controller. In the beginning, there was the issue of the permanent internet connection for authentication which prevented offline game-play, but that feature was removed in a patch. I loved Assassin's Creed 2 and it has made an impact on the gaming community. The economic system made the game more of an RPG that it was originally intended to be. The PC port was not the best, but it still delivers a high quality game that will go down in gaming history.
