- The Bottom Line:
- "Check your bargain bin"
In short, no. I bought this out the bargain bin and to be honest if I had paid full price for it even on release day I would have felt cheated and only given the game a 5.0
The story is great, the graphics not bad at all for a nearly 5 year old game. However the game-play is rubbish. The fighting mechanics are dull and broken, climbing buildings is a complete pain (you get half way up and your Avatar decides to leap of the building to his death instead of climbing to the next hand hold 6cm above him) and the rest of the stuff in between is a collection of easy, repetitive, dull mini games.
The open world map that you travel between cities serves no purpose as there is very little to do in it. You may as well grab a horse and charge through it as quick as you can.
I know what your all thinking, oh its a 5 year old game give it a chance. But compared to other games out at the time the actual playability is dreadful. Compared it to modern games and it is abysmal! I have no idea why it got such great reviews.
For the couple of pounds I paid for it, its been a good distraction while I wait on ME3. At the time I also bought AC2 which I am told is much better. It certainly cant be a lot worse.

My impressions after beating Assassin's Creed. It's as repetitive as they say, but still good.
