Assassin's Creed User Review
- Difficulty:
- Easy
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Worth playing"
Pros
- Graphics are great, environment depict the colonial ages nicely.
- Climbing all over buildings and racing across roof tops is entertaining.
- Voice acting is good.
- The cities are lively and creates a realistic atmosphere. Especially the constant awareness you must have in order to avoid guards. The interesting to see the citizens react to your actions.
- Silent assassinations are satisfying.
- The plot is unique. The game makes the player wonder what is going to happen with the ties between the past and the present day assassins and Templars.
- The story is great. The depth of the plot sets the foundations for a great trilogy.
Cons
- Altair (main character) cannot swim. In fact, he dies as he falls in water. As an assassin, it just does not make sense.
- Missions can get repetitive. Find view points, locate and complete investigations, return to bureau. Rinse and repeat.
- Minor glitches in some parts of the game. Controls can be a bit imprecise while leaping between objects and during combat.
- The present day cut-scenes with Desmond and the animus, could have been given more emotion. The characters just seem emotionless except the doctor. Also, there is not much space you can explore in the present day world. All there is, is your bedroom and the animus room.
- It is difficult to target a specific enemy when they come in large groups.
- Lack of manual aim for throwing knives makes it impossible to throw knifes at archers on roof tops from the ground.

My impressions after beating Assassin's Creed. It's as repetitive as they say, but still good.
