@ 3116porter He is. The robin you see in the game is some other guy that joined batman after the original robin became nightwing. (I don't know this from comics, I just read his bio in the game)

Introducing Nightwing, aka Dick Grayson. Get a look at Batman's progeny in action.
After watching this and the Robin pack, I cant help but feeling that they'll release some story DLC. Otherwise the Wayne Manor and Wayne Hall, would seem like a wasted concept if it was just pinned to a backdrop in challenges and campaigns. And Black Mask makes a cameo at the end of Robins challenge! There has to be a story of why Robin was on that moving train and why Nightwing was at Wayne Manor!! Not sure if it'll happen or not, just a theory.
@chazy035 That's funny you should mention that, because I'm pretty sure both characters are voiced by the same actor (Quinton Flynn).
Beatdowns a-plenty. Can't wait to regulate with those batons. One thing that does NOT work for me in Arklham is the voice acting of the goons. Bad things happen when writers try to go "street". Here's no different.
supersackboy23 You can buy the Limited Edition to get Robin, you get two or four challenges, three costumes to choose, but you can't play with him in the city like Cat-woman... if don't find the limited edition (like me), Robin bundle will be released on the PSN november 22th..
I love nightwing he probably my favorite character in all of batman and he's a much better nightwing than a robin can't wait to play with him
nightwing and robin are pretty cool and all but batman is batman. its like having an appetizer after you already had the main course.
@CrimsonCorp I agree. Instead of simply adding a playable character, they should have filled its hollowness with a storyline to make it more worth playing.
For story DLC; I would have begged you to take my money, even if the price was higher like $15. Challenge mode DLC?... how about I just save up for Skyrim or B3 DLC...
It sucks since just in general they cannot post up a vilain trailer of Cat Women, she's always secondary *sigh*.
Storyline DLC would be cool but I am still getting this. I wonder in they would consider doing Batgirl. Yes I know Oracle is Batgirl in a wheel chair but it would be cool to get a playable character when she could walk. Both her and Red Hood would be cool to play as. Heck maybe as a joke they could do Superman and make it so all the thugs are replaced with titan monsters.
I think you're looking for protege in the description, GameSpot, not progeny. It's Dick Grayson, not Damian Wayne. Besides that, though, Nightwing ftw. :)
Cool skin but come on.. I refuse to pay $6 or whatever it is just for some skin to use in challenge maps. What if you payed $20 for a movie and a week later I offered to sell you another 30 minutes of footage for $5. Would you feel ripped off? Or is that what you deserve.
PEOPLE, this WAS NOT stripped from the game. As soon as the FULL game went gold, they started working on this and now it is finished. so please... STOP WHINING!
I very rarely ever give half a crap about "challenge" modes external to the campaign mode in a game. However, Batman has become an exception. The combat in this game is just sooooo darn slick and fun that I've found myself very entertained by the challenge modes. Definitely looking forward to more characters to fight as.
Small nod to Bruce Lee there as well. The dusting of the shoulders. @videogamer008 He was the first Robin. And the Bat and him have patched up their differences. Even so much so that, while Bruce was thought dead, Dick assumed the cowl and became Batman. If it weren't for the size difference between them, then no one would've noticed. Dick is a few inches shorter and a guy like Comish. Gordon will notice that. Because Dick had "The Voice" down pat. And in the comics, what lead to the rift was Dick getting hurt in a mission. Batsy going all over protective and stripping him of the Robin title. And Dick going, I don't need that name to fight crime. So he based his next ID on a Kryptonian legend, seeing how the Old Boyscout was the other big hero he looked up to. Rest is history.
