It's so genuinely nice to see a promo with such wit and polish. Hopefully this will be another installment in the 'shock series that refuses to dumb down on the big philosophical ideas whilst, continuing to trail-blaze a simple truth - not all gamers are thick - some of us even like to read... yes read like books and stuff. Please game developers, follow the examples of this, Deus Ex (the first one) and Silent Hill 2 and begin to place a much larger degree of emphasis on the plot, story and overall narrative of your games. Simply hiring a third rate former TV script writer doesn't count. Games series like this are too far between.

I hope they put secrets in the cover of DVD again... Don't you know about it?? Try to Use "dark light" :).

And I hope a lot of new things to discover... Games that has good history are the best ever.

I wish this would be made a TV commercial. It's so creepy, in a way that will get a lot of attention. Is it a documentary, a movie trailer, or what?

Non gamers don't know what Bioshock is. This trailer would let them try it.

That was really amazing, it was like an early 80's documentary/lesson kind of thing students in school would watch. At times it was a little goofy though I think. I mean, "look what we found, a sky-hook." It just so happens that, that's a very prominent tool, not just for the story, but for game play as well, it was almost kind of like a plug.

I do have to hold back from saying it's a little goofy though, 'cause it is in fact such a big aspect of the way you get around in Columbia, which could make it possible that if a part of the city was found, these would be some of the things found. That was really superb, and this is the kind of thing I love. It mixes history with the fictional-spectacle.

I think, even if only little, some people that haven't been interested in such things from a historical point of view, will learn some stuff, and also be intrigued enough to go read about the times the game takes place in. If it wasn't for the original Bioshock, I wouldn't have cared about the music or the style of the 30's to 50's.

It's set in the 60's and 70's, but the Rapture economy came to a stop, so it didn't really show those times.

That was pretty awesome. Plus it carried the creepy feel of the original Bioshock. It would be cool to see a complete documentary on this haha

Who is brave enough to stop these evil White Americans and their Constitutional ways! Self Determination? Fah! Kill them all my slaves... I mean my friends! Funny how it comes out just about the time the Gub'mint is trying to decimate self-Determination for Americans.

Bravo.  Truly remincent of the old NOVA or "In Search of..." documentary shows from the 1970s and 80s.

All it needed was Leonard Nimoy as the narator.
