@Davidonsnake what are you talking about?! this game is great begining to end yea the vault part is disapointing but dont let this ruin all of borderlands for you!
knoxx was a bit of a disapointment for me you see ive bought the GOTY edition and tried doing drs ned zombie island than claptrap robolution and then the armory and the under dome and only then prossid with the story and this being a lvl 35+ DLC totaly ruined my plans...
@Davidonsnake **SPOILERS** Actually, you do get to go into the armory, there are tons, TONS of weapon crates.
secret armory my ass. its probably just like the vault. you spend the whole game looking for it and all you get at the end is "congratulations you found the vault. now go f**k yourself." made me forget what little fun I had playing the damn thing. go ahead give me thumbs down, but the game I played got stale halfway through and the vault was really the only thing I was looking forward to.
Borderlands is such an amazing game.. and the DLC's are even better. For $10 each, you can pick up Zombie Island and pour in about 7 hours of gameplay. And Secret Armory for 10 hours... Gearbox Software has produced the best DLC(s) to date.. and you actually get your money's worth. Huge thumbs up to Gearbox Software.
i cant belive gamespot is making PC section so small.. and reviewing everything on xbox... Who reviews Fpshooters on anything other than a pc... I dont understand that... Gamespot guys if u read this.. Please fellas do something for PC... I own both 360 and pc... and i think u guys r being unfair with both ps3,wii and pc... does microsoft pays u extra money? to review games and kiss xbox's ass all the time?? i know ill get warning or be banned or something but.. its not just me..every1 thinks so.. u guys r being unfair with other platforms
Awesome review and well deserved! Yes the DLC is punishingly difficult, so much so i recommend your character be on level 51 and have the best loot before even attempting to play this but if you meet this hardcore criteria, you may find yourself enjoying this DLC more than the actual game! I've played about 30 hours on the DLC so far and upped both my Siren and my Hunter to level 61 and kitted them out with the sickest loot around, sheilds with 2496 capacity and guns with 1000 damage with elemental x4 damage await you in this wonderful DLC. If there was ever a perfect example of what a DLC should be, this is it.
@ justin_smith77 Look, I appreciate the challenge and all, but when Chaz (Lvl 53) downs me in 4 seconds (Level 56) from full health and shields, I start to think something's wrong. It's just killing my game experience. I don't enjoy the game anymore and I can't do anything about it.
@alert0 It is challening and forces you to up your game in strategy but if it were easier I would not like it. Borderlands is one of the best games ever.
Halo 3 co-op was great , gears of war 2 was even better but Borderland is by far the best co-op experience you`ll ever have on any console , i hope gerabox keeps producing more DLC for this game.
I got the add-on two days ago and it is so badass! I definately think that everyone that owns Borderlands should get it. It's epic!
just got this today and i must say that it is content like this that helps give DLC a good reputation. All DLC should be like this.
i've played a lot of good, fun games, but i don't think i've ever had as much fun playing a game i've had playing borderlands, as soon as psn gets fixed (i've got a fat ps3) i'm gonna download and play the bejeezus out of this dlc =D
hay, the one thing u didn't mention is that there are sooo many more cut scenes and dialogue in the dlc!
Goddammit this game is so good, dlc is also so good. i got the zombie one and this one. Both very awsome. Im just up to the part where i get the make a crimson lance APC cant wait to get that APC!!!
I just can't play this game. I literally can't, I'm not good enough. I mean, I finished my playthrough 2, but even I know when I'm beat. It's just too f**king hard.
i know i commented before but uh i just beat the dlc. took about 3-4 hours for me. Big hing for all of you: bring many friends to the armory u got 3 min.
@JM_MUFC @SgtNemo It's just my opinion, I like Cel-Shaded too.. I liked the way Ubisoft did in the Prince Of Persia, Ubisoft give 2 versions, one with Real-Time Graphic & one another using the Cel-Shaded... "give gamers a new experience".... with same Genre... :) it would be cool.. I like Borderlands though.. (don't get me wrong).. It's awesome game.. :D
