I have to say I really liked this game, one that seems to achieve a charming sense of discovery and joy.

I logged in just to say great review. Nicely written, clear, enthusiastic, and detailed. Need more reviewers like this :)

>>i love all these new generation Weird artistic out of this world kind of side scrollers that have been coming up the past 2 years<< WHUT? it's not that weird - you see a lot of similar stuff from a lot of czech artists... for years!

@Masenkoe You might also assume I have a computer that can handle something non-demanding. However in fact I have a computer that barley operates and functions to get on the internet, let alone play Chess or Solitaire, and certainly not Botanicula.

I love indie games. You don't hear anything about them and then suddenly they appear on XBLA and you can get them straight away! Better than waiting years for a AAA title any day.

@The-Longshot It's not a demanding game I would assume...

Already preordered this on GOG. :D Amanita makes really fantastic stuff and the extra goodies from GOG make it totally worth getting. :)

Great review Mark. Amanita's games are so wonderful. Point and Click isn't dead! And the Humble Bundle is amazing value. Get!

@erik2005 - it might take a while, but I'd be extremely surprised if it didn't get ported after the success Amanita had with Machinarium.

This game is currently part of the Humble Indie Bundle. You should look this up. It is a pay what you want, for charity, for a collection of games. The games can be added on Steam and work on Windows, Mac, Linux as far as I know.

Truly imaginative. And yes, as Fiscaldeal says, the game is "so charming it hurts."
