This is just an update. Project X Zone is getting localized. First off it has a Q3 US release window here on Gamespot. Checkout Gamestop's website, they have it listed for preorder.
If all 3 of these games could come out, first off Nintendo would have some serious ammo to fight VITA and the New KILLZONE. All 3 of these games are 3DS games and Nintendo could definitely use the 3rd party support in America.
Out of them all, TWEWY, Project X Zone and Bravely Default look the most interesting to me.
You dont deserve tho games so beat it you don eve think the problems an the copyrights troubles the localize those games
Hiragana & Katakana is not enough though I could read a bit of kanji but still...Kanji should always have FURIGANA with it along with an English translation on top or the bottom so that every country will also benefit. It'll be worth the hardwork if every japanese game is like this.Localization is a different story cuz it takes reallly a vast amount of time on proper translating & voice acting or dubbing although I really want both. Translations & Localizations.
I really have to study Japanese now! There are a lot of Japanese Games that I want to play that are not available in English.
I didnt need to see this video to tell me what Japan has. I collect rpgs mainly and my collection is around a 1,000 games. If I had only half the imports that I wanted my collection would be triple or quadruple that size. Basically any anime released is at minimum guranteed one game, and we never get any of these. Not to mention major franchise like Fire Emblem of whom we dont even have a fraction of the games released.
Where in the Blue He// is my Gundam simulator!?!?!? It's a complete travesty to think that it wouldn't sell in the west. Just tie it in with a relase of Gundam Unicorn on Cartoon Network and ..... Profit!
I was taken by surprise on how awesome Project X Zone looks. Would love to see that game come to the west. That goes without saying that the west misses a ton of great games due to never being localized.
It's hard being a RPG fan in the west. It was fun in the 90s through early 00s, but the recent lack of support is the reason why my interest in gaming is slowly withering away. I'm not saying that Valkyria Chronicles, Fate CC, Xenoblades, The Last Story and the occasional Ys entry is lost on my mind, but playing those are akin to being given a glass of water in a scorching desert only to trek on for miles waiting for that next refreshing drop of water to touch your lips.
These releases are so far on between that it hurts to complete a game.
uh, every Gundam Game there is to each & every console... & support for multiplayer ofcourse. Same thing with every Monster Hunter games. I'm so stoke to FinalFantasyType-0 localization... It will make it.Hopin that it'll be like God Eater 2 that'll be released for both PSP & Vita.
@AQWBlaZer91 yeah, looks so awesome. But don't hold your breath on this one... very doubtful as it's a cross-over rpg and most games from asia we get in usa are not cross-overs only cuz they need permission from each company to localize it.
i wouldn't trust in squareenix, they havent released type-0 for the west yet and its way better than xiii, xiii-2 and probably better than xiii-3... go figure
@goldfantasy type-o needs to be put on Vita in the usa as most of the psp support is dead. It does look so cool. I'm confused that SE is making yet another version of FFXIII... didn't they learn that FFXIII-1 was bad enough with is linear design and no towns to go explore. Also the combat system was way to rigid... no one but commandos could use physical atttacks... oh please. I'm not a fighter but I can swing a sword, punch and kick, and shoot a gun... I just find it hard to believe that no melee attacks if not commando.
I want a monster hunter game on the 360 and ps3, full HD graphics and supports play station network and Xbox live and split screen co op. Capcom, make it happen and you will receive my moneh.
@FreedomPrime tons of other people would as well. If there was a bigger community for the game in america, it would make a killing. Japanese like to get together with friends and play portable games in the same room. In america, we prefer to play online, on big tv... just a difference that kills us for getting some Japanese games.
I used to be a Jrpg fan... I say USED to be because such games don't really exist anymore on current consoles... I'm playing Tales of Vesperia again right now, it was a good game, among very few Jrpgs out there...
I don't see much brighter future for Jrpgs on next gen consoles either...
Shame, I loved those game... played them like crazy back in the 90's and early 2000's...
@Shinteikun It depends on what consoles you own, I have them all so I tend to see quite a lot of JRPG but the 360 alone had Magna Carta 2, Lost odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, The Last Remnant etc. If you count the none exclusive stuff there's also Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, Star Ocean 4, Resonance of Fate etc. Depending on how many you play (and whether you own other consoles for there exclusive JRPG's) there is still a decent amount to try at but still not as much as there used to be.
X means Cross, it's project Cross zone and Street Fighter Cross Tekken, Digimon Cross Wars.
What i do really miss since the new consoles the games from Japan have been even fewer than they were. I remember playing dozens of rpgs that really looked like the original version on my ps2.
It seems that European exporters and retailers don't want to sell those games anyway.
Japonese developers just should care about adding english language to those games and export then. I would buy much more games.
Why would the Japanese companies bother? So you Western journalists can give these games a 6.0 for being too "quirky", "not as polished as Western HD counterparts" and "not giving freedom to the player"?
If I were a Japanese developer I wouldn't care about the Western market, specially if my game is posed to sell like hotcakes in Japan.
@RealFabioSooner It is true, I feel like we're getting western journalists wanting western games and they don't give eastern stuff a try. They'll give any half decent shooter a 8.0 but a JRPG has to be special and great if it wants anything more than a 6.5 from some western journalists.

@RealFabioSooner Yup I second that The only highly rated japanese rpg was xenoblade chronicles ,and people need to look past graphics and call of duty.
Yeah I want to know too. Been trying to find it through the lyrics I could make out but no luck. :/
