This is the second 3D Castlevania made and it is not worth paying for. This game takes a turn from the first 3D castlevania. It turns away from the classic whip charecter and tries to make Symphony of the Night 3D...but fails. The story is interesting and makes for a good game...too bad the repetative gameplay makes the game unbearable. The levels look the same and all you do is press the attack button over...and over.....and..OVER!!! Theirs no skill needed to play this game. The camera angles also get really annoying and makes it hard to see where your being attacked from.
The game has a good create-your-crap section. You dont find weapons in this game. Instead, you get materials from enemys via killing or stealing and then combine them from a list.
You also find friendly demons that will follow you and fight at your side (kind of like a Marlyn Mason version of Casper the friendly ghost). They level up and gain powers just as you do.
The music is the best part in this game. The soundtrack is very gothic and great to just sit and listen to.
This game is fun for the first hour or two, but then gets very dull and drawn out. I would rent it first just to see if you like it.

a frequent combat kind of gameplay, this castlevania can be at least a little enjoyable.

Solid game play that is brought way down by the weak level designs.
