wow...i got *****ed at 150 steps at obelisk! (insert BS bable stories here)

Dozens, mate, dozens. I can't really remember most of them, but I've been scuppered on Obelisk more times than I can count. It was always one of three things - either my own lack of foresight (probably accounting for half or more of my failures); the monster blocks, which moved at really inopportune moments; and the random blocks turning into either a cracked block or a bomb block.
I took me over 8 hours of attempts to clear Obelisk, and 15 hours of attempts to clear Altar (I was less experienced then). Menhir was rather easier, it only took me three-quarters of an hour, and Axis Mundi can only be done on Pairs, which took me about an hour and a half (most of which was just getting used to using two controllers at once. Once I'd actually mastered it, it only took three attempts).
I got there eventually, though. Platinum trophy. It was worth it (and it never stopped being fun, anyway, no matter how times I failed).
