Command & Conquer Franchise Retrospective

its very nice game and i like this.

Would be nice to have seen gameplay footage - this quickly became a cutscene retrospective.  

C&C Red Alert is the only one I've played and I'm glad. Since 96 the series has really gone downhill. This franchise needs to focus their story, lore, and units on a realistic military theme. The campaign and unit composition is just getting totally ridiculous. If someone wants to play a sci-fi RTS they play SC2 which is light-years away from anything produced from the C&C franchise.

@tko6070: nah, C&C3 and Kane's wrath are great too.

I played these games for over a decade, I think the party ended after Generals.. that was the last great rts C&C

I loved the "Hell March" tune from Red Alert series.. and story of Tiberium series except the way EA ended it in CnC 4.. They should make Renegade 2 with better graphics...

C&C : Zero Hour was ans still the best .. this game was made 2 be best of the best ( tactical & strategy games )

C&C : Red Alert was one of the main games that got me into gaming, absolutely fantastic RTS.

I've played C&C since I was a child! the first C&C I played was tibirium sun near 8 or 9 years ago. from then I bought every game of this series because it looks very great to me.

good sure i like the franchise but.... not even close to Starcraft

Overall a pretty average franchise in my opinion. CnC and Red Alert 2 stand out the most.

Like it or not you still have to face the fact that 10 years on... "YURI IS MASTER!"

the class system in the new cnc 4 is horrific i liked classic cnc like red alert and general but if cnc 4 had classic cnc gameplay it would be an amazing game

yerp generals is good ive got that on delxe edition with zero hour great game definetely commanders mode on it is great and red alert 3 is a good game aswell

I dunno. I felt the only great games were the ones Westwood made before EA took over. Only exception was Generals.

I've played C&C only a couple times ever and not for very long... But that video makes me want to go out and get some of the older AND newer ones to try again!

the Dinonsuar was in the end of C&C red alert Yuri's revenge he finaly gets ahold of a chronosphere and goes back too far and a (i'm guessing) a dinosuar eats him

If there where no Dune 2, there would be no c&c ! Completed the NoD campaign in the first c&c. It was love. :-) Then came out the first Red Alert but the Tiberium games have darker and better story. Red Alert 2 was very good, but only played through the Allies campaign. Kari Wuhrer ( as Tanya ) was HOT ! xD Also tried out the Tiberian Sun, very good game was. Generals and Renegade never played ( nor Emperor Battle for Dune ). Tiberium Wars is amazing : dark story, Kane. :-) and Scrins xD Now my new fav. : Red Alert 3. The story isn't too bad, the music and unit speech is somewhat i don't like in this game, but the gameplay, graphics, multiplayer, units is a big surprise. I love every unit in this game, especially the Rising Sun units. And the sexiest girls are here in the videogame-history ever ! ;-))))

I started playing the C&C series with Red Alert. i loved it and I thought it was the best. Right now the only ones I havent played are Renegade and the first one.

Kahri Wuhrer is the name of the actress if I recall well (For C&C 2 and Expansion, i mean)
