This game has the best first-person melee combat I've seen.
It's light-years ahead of Skyrim's clunky crap.
Too bad this game has MAJOR texture pop-in issues everytime you load a new area though.
??? what using dual analogue is bad. Haha because the mouse is an exclusive item for PC players which Sony or MS couldn't easily adopt for its gamers...
if you like games where you can do and go any where you want you will absolutely love This game!!!!
Yah got it for 6 bucks on steam. I have to agree with the score it's a bit of typical zombie fun. It got crappy score due to the stupid characters, and uninteresting story. You got zombies around the island and people want you to get them booze...
It's a sandbox zombie killer and fun if you play it as such and don't expect much more. It was certainly worth the $10 on Steam.
Decided to come back and hear their reasons for their review and I agree with every single one of them. I beat the game and story and characters are just complete garbage, it's impossible to like or feel for anyone. BUT, the gameplay is so entertaining and for some reason addicting that I am playing through again with a friend. Worth it for the zombie killing but not if you are looking for an engaging story.
This game is one of my favorite games but why did they have to rate it kind of low?This game has the best graphics and awesome amount of gameplaying.
1 Like ive had this arguement with english type people many times. ITS GAS NOT PETROL! yes gasoline is a liquid BUT its the vapors or "GAS" that your engine runs on. also petroleum is what GASOLINE is refined from. SOOOOO shorting gasoline to "GAS" makes more sense than petrol because if you put PETROL in you car you would DESTROY YOUR ENGINE.

Aren't we all human though? Race color, language, it doesn't matter. Ugly hateful fools like thuis jayjay guy is why there is so much strife and violence in the world.
All that matters is that Jesus Christ died for your sins, so you can go too Heaven, it's much safer to simply obey God's commandments best of your ability and try not to be a hateful person.
All this over terms for fuel...Grow up kids none of you probably have a great paying job that gives great benefits and allows you to achieve your goals, and dreams in life.
Guess what only in America does that seem like a good possibility. I'm not saying we dont have problems but the way I see it we got things pretty good. I think we could be a lot less wasteful though, but overall our country is a great one and only a fool would disagree.

I don't see any comments about Single Player being so ridiculously difficult in later Chapters? Is everyone playing co-op? I've watched walkthrough's in Chapter 6 and later and I don't know how I'm going to be able to get thru this alone. I can't play co-op due to connection speed in my area (no fios yet) :(I think devs should have cut single players a break with difficulty. or allowed us to choose difficulty levels.

I just loved the trial. Will I love the full game? Cause this looks like one of the best games of last year.
I just finished playing the OnLive trial, and I have to say that this game is just fantastic. It really is. I'm a huge zombie fan and this is one of my favorites of last year
this Dead Island its a really good game and am a reall huge zombie fan but i have a low pc and i cant play it even Left 4 Dead ;(
1 Like finally got round to playing it , not a big fan of zombie games but dead island is actually really fun, 7/10 is about right , combat does get a bit repetitive even with upgraded weapons and whilst playing it i kept wondering how much better it could of been if it was a 3rd person game rather than 1st but thats just my opinion, 10/10 for zombie fans though this is deffinatly your game!
you have to watch the youtube playthrough videos, its better then some gauys and it takes time to get into, this game should have been 8.5
