Well, picked this up for $10 on PSN yesterday, always wanted Dead Rising since the first game, but didn't have a 360 and didn't get Dead Rising 2 either when it came out. So this may just be the perfect game for me, I get a couple elements of the first game while it fixes some of the issues in Dead Rising 2, while also keeping the story experience largely the same.
I'm certainly enjoying it so far, and people are still playing online too so I don't have much trouble playing coop. I got it with a friend anyway so I have a partner in any case, and I sorta want to play at a slow pace too since most people online know their way around while I'm still learning how to even play the game.
So for me, or someone who wanted to play these games but just haven't gotten around to it yet, it's well worth it, a near perfect entry point. But I suppose for people who already played Dead Rising 2 it's best you skip it if you really don't want to be playing the game again. But unlike when this first came out, Off the Record is msrp $20 now, and same for Dead Rising 2, so they both carry the same price tag a gives us latecomers a harder decision to make. Reason why I'm just getting it now after months of deliberating and asking around which is better and why, but the $10 PSN (+) sale made it a no brainer for me. Ten bucks for a "patched up expansion pack + full game", THANK YOU!
