This game is worthy of the Devil May Cry series, anyone who says otherwise obviously can't play the game, I gave it 9/10.

Kevin VanOrd reviews Devil May Cry 4!
another repetitive piece of shi# game from capcom, japanese games suck so bad in this generation. Im so glad the new DMC is being develop by a western studio.
This is a great game.Super fun, I enjoyed myself big time.More recently I have been playing even more awesome action games like Castlevania Lords Of Shadows and God Of War 3, but you can't go wrong with Devil May Cry 4.I recommend it.
Awesome game with great gameplay, combos and bosses!! I only regret that it gets repetitive from time to time.
I really like this game, but It's not a big improvement over the last, in fact its kinda a step back if you factor in the excessive amounts of back tracking. Even though it has its flaws its still a great game and lets thank the gods its not another DMC2, that game was terrible.
@enragedcritic Yea man I agree with you Nero is a real nuisance but I love playing as dante wish they would let you play the whole game as him
Jump cancel videos on YouTube are primo. I think that is the way to really play the game. I own it but never played. I bought it since it was way cheap but have been occupied by many other games. After watching the jump cancel demos it makes me want to go master the technique. Later;).
Great graphics.. but this game was hard and the main character Nero is just flat out annoying. Dante is way better. The other devil may cry games are way better, but if you want to burn some time this game is cheap nowadays
I like this game but I totally hate Nero wish it was only Dante or Vergil and Dante. Vergil was great in DMC3 special edition
This sure was a great game....I did not like the backtracking, but still....still a fantastic game.....gamespot underated this game..Bring on devil may cry 5 please
It may just be me,but im not a huge fan of Nero. Dante is just brilliant,e's matured, got the whole day old stubble thing going on...But Nero...just not for me....
I think what made the original three DMC's so great was that.. they were the very first Devil May Cry games.. The 4th to some will feel recycled.. But for someone who is new to the series and never played its predecessors will feel right at home. Devil May Cry is one of the best series in its genre.. and probably paved the way for action games altogether. My verdict: 8.5
This is a great game, especially if you are a dmc fan - and if you do, you have a pretty decent challenge (even if you beated dmc3 dmd mode). It does have some repetition, but that's probably the only problem with the game
Great cut scenes with so-so story. GS was right on the money about the repetition. Same boss fights and reusing the same levels and backdrops really stop this game from being a 9+ title . It's no Ninja Gaiden Sigma but worth a play. 8.5/10
The very long initial cutscene of this game is so full of teeny cliches that it's laughable. After that, I stopped playing when I understood that you are encouraged to break everything to gain the hidden souls (even in chairs and tables). I can understand this kind of gameplay for less than 10 year old, but for all the other gamers, WTF ???????
this is a very good game and it deserved the score it got. On the next dmc if they improved on the backtracking, weapons and the number of boss battles it will be very close to a 10. Plus being able to change your attire wont hurt either
Just got this today so far it's a pretty fun game. Kind of awkward playing as Nero, although he seems to look just like a young Dante and has many of the same animations and mannerisms. I agree this video review did little to inform players of the pros and cons of the game.
