Man, everything Tom McShea says is NONSENSE. The things he throws offhand like "facts" are absolutely unproveable and wholly based on his opinion.

@jakkblades You're nonsense, pipe down, this show is a lot of opinion mixed with facts, that's what makes it interesting. It's not like everyone is quoting straight factual commentary all the time, it's a lot of speculation and opposing view points . Tom McShea actually brings up a good example of EA Games' terribleness in this episode; in how they totally don't back games that aren't made by their in-house development departments, they want to own everything. EA Games doesn't want other brands under the EA name in a perfect situation, and that should make gamers sad :(

I want Avatar movie graphics by 2013. Why hate Cliffy B. for pushing Sony and Microsoft ? I don't want to wait another 8 loooooooooooOOONG years, 2020 for Avatar movie graphics. Powerful hardware will NOT kill smaller developers, there are plenty of small "indie" games that you can purchase on Xbox Live, PS Network.

Came here after watching the latest video. The less formal recording in front of mic's is a definite improvement. The faux T.V. show format feels cheaper somehow.

and i don't think that any of you should hate a company just because you don't like 1 of there games i think that's unfair don't you they cant just make 1 type of game they have to make lots of different type of games so that all people can enjoy them.

Torchlight 2 will buy right off because it has LAN and offline and modding and no crap real money bullpoop.not to mention if i buy the game the characters are mine whereas diablo 3 people just buy a client and dont own the game

@marius068 Ever considered playing Skyrim? I've spent 160 hours on it and I could still probably go on in it for at least another 60 hours. But I get your point thought. Many games are now made for a quick buck... at least that's how I feel.

hi there personally i would wunt better graphics in games btter story lines in games and better gameplay games are all about the graphics the story and the gameplay how can you enjoy a game or have fun with it if it doesnt look stunning and have a good story emagine a game with out a story line how junk it would be not being able to play for a story just playing and killing for no reason and emagine a game with out graphics it wont give you so much of an experiance it will be dull and boring with out graphics so i am 100% with the developers that make the games coz if they had to take graphics from where it is now and put graphics from 2006 in the game wouldnt be as fun + i would stop byeing games if the graphics had to get worse so next generation is more exitement so ya i would like to encorage all microsoft sony intel and amd to go next generation

@shane9494 Although your spelling and grammar are atrocious i somewhat agree with you. Games like Skyrim or Battlefield 3 wouldnt be nearly as fun if they looked like Morrowind or the original Battlefield. Now im not saying that they wouldnt still be fun, or even that they are better than the originals because theyre all great games. As long as it doesnt detract from the story or overall gameplay, i think visual quality and system performance should be the main priority for developers of next-gen consoles and subsequently, next-gen games.

thank you for agreeing with me at least some body sees the big picture i cant beleve people would like games with out a story line and graphics just playt the game its still a game and enjoy it a game would not be fun at all if it were not for graphics gameplay and story the people who say screw graphics and story and game play those people fail to realize what games are all about they all about a story graphics and game play cause with out story the game is just a fighting game with no mission and no realism so i think that the games should be more advanced and i think that the people who understand games would agree with me on this people who just play games for action and not story are the ones who most probably will disagree with me but not always cause some people like story and action for example how would you like it if a movie came out with out a story how would it feel to watch it it would be boring so boring that you wouldn't wana watch it anymore same with a game and imagine a movie with poor quality it wouldn't be the same as watching it in high def you see what i mean so i think the developers are on the right track here and I'm shore proper gamers like me would agree right gamers

and another thing its by time you guys get entouch with new tech we in 2012 we must not be stuck in 2002 or something like that we must move on as the years go we must also progress we cant stay stuck in the past like games of 2002 we must move on to the next generation pc's consols and more 2013 is comming up and games are only gonna get better and better as the years go games also progress just sit back and enjoy the ride lol we are not supposed to tell the developers what to do or what story to make its supposed to be something that you don't know what story it might be its supposed to be a suprize you not supposed to know what story or how the game would be like cause then in my books you have already finished it and then there is no point playing it again the developers are skilled at what they do and i think that you should let them do there job

Tell me, which games looks better, Half-Life 1 or Darkest of Days? Now go back and tell me which has better graphics.

@Sgthombre Not trying to be rude or start anything but if you read my entire comment you'd realize thats not what i said at all. I dont want to increase visual quality at the expense of gameplay or story. Graphics only serve to add to the fun and sense of immersion. I rather the console makers focus on that and not adding non-essential perks that have nothing to do with gaming.

Epic has a point...why put out a next generation if its not a leap in graphics...thats why the next gen should be pushed back until it actually deserves the title of next gen console

The problem with Unreal Engine 4 is that, so far, it doesn't even look as good as it's predecessor... In fact, it looks much worse...

If Epic games wants more power, then at least produce something that will use it.

@parkurtommo Epic hasnt released any video footage of UE4, just a couple of screenshots. How can you compare it to anything when you havnt really seen it and all it can do?

is that its also true with any indie game on xbla.

This show really does offer an alternate perspective. Too right, PC should be the lead graphics platform and those of us silly enough to fork out $500-600 on launch consoles should really be supporting it as anything good goes multi-platform anyway. The thing that I don't get about PC is the piracy, people have sort of brought it on themselves.

Oh wow! Your homepage for QfT is SO HARD TO FIND!!! I've been looking for it via search on GS and even googling for it but failed until i was lucky enough to spot it on the main page. FYI, the videos link in the top menu (right between News and Cheats) does not feature Qft! I figure someone should add it, unless it's considered internally as an underground show, and not officially recognized by GS?

BTW, excellent show! I love it since episode 1! But 30mins is way too little time to devote to discussion of the extremely fast-evolving gaming sphere. Why don't you guys make it a bi-weekly show? Monday and Friday would be great!

This is a great show guys. Only thing to improve is you need to decorate the set. Make it like a warm and comfy place to have a discussion. Think Resident Evil Mansion before the viral outbreak, lol.
