Great game. Played through it once, then tried again but accidentally deleted my file (might have pulled the save card out or something). Can't remember.

I hate how it says "Find out if this is the best PS2 RPG to date!" and then the reviewer completely ignores that statement in the video. I need to know!

@Murgurth Because the character designs were made by Akira Toryiama, the guy who made Dragon Ball Z.

Why does the art style remind me so much of Dragon Ball Z?

Just plucked this game out of my collection a couple weeks back and started playing it again, and remembered how much I loved it. Sure, the Final Fantasy series is good and all, but this game keeps things nice and simple, and its got good humour in it as well. *approves*

i agree it's the best rpg EVER! im playing this right now. I loved the comedy parts, the story, everything. blue dragon should not have been a 3d realistic rpg.

This is really the best RPG I've played on PS2. In my opinion, no other RPG come's close to this game. The story was fantastic, the graphics were beautiful, and the gameplay was fun. This is how Blue Dragon should have been.

What kind of bothers me about this review is that there are SO many things unmentioned. The open world gameplay, the mini games and tons of other elements, while she repeats herself over the graphics, fanbase and 'old school style'.

This is a great game. Even though Final Fantasy X and X-2 were fantastic i kina like this too, because it's different. They could have made it so you stay on the path of the story, not just let you travel wherever, because you get lost. This is one of the reasons why i liked FFX better. I even thought that FFX-2 kept the story on track better. But for some strange reason, i like the way you can travel everywhere for a reason that i can't explain.

yeah she could have mention a lot of stuff...and didnt find this game difficult ( cause although i love rpgs im not that good at them)

She might have mentioned the leveling upgrades alchemy pot etc in the full written review? Or did anyone bother looking there, otherwise I think this review is pretty neat. She says what I need to know before I buy this game, and you know what, I bought it! And I'm loving it :)

ive enjoyed the game a lot! and she skipped a lot of stuff such as th leveling/skill and the alchemical pot etc etc

This was the best RPG I've ever played. I love Dragon Quest.

this is a good game for people who have never played a turn-based rpg to really get into the genre. It's battle system is very simple and it hasn't tried to complicate the standard turn-based style like the recent Final Fantasys. It's plain old fun!

cut short. A bad looking game tho

I disagree with the criticism about some battles being difficult, and taking a long time. Having a challenge improves the game.

It's annoying how any review for a traditional RPG ends up as a recommendation of, "If you like the genre, you'll like the game, if you hate random encounters, you'll hate the game." There's more to JRPG's than random battles.

Fantastic game, bad review, she didn't even mention half the things you could do on the game including upgrades, weapons and side quests. She just seemed to focus on the battle aspect.
