This End of Nations trailer focuses on the Spartan and Patrios classes from the Liberation Front faction.
If the actual game only looked this good. I was fascinated by the introductions to the units, then I saw actual game-play videos. What a cluster-f*** of an interface. Mega detailed circles around selected units? Cliche life-bars above every unit's head? Glowing markers and text everywhere. Guys, you really need to rework the interface with simplicity in mind. With all those bright 100% saturated lights the details and care put into the designs of the units gets lost in the noise.
Alpha testing for this game has been great and I've enjoyed it a lot - I cain't wait for the finished product.
If a few of you only knew how good this game is, and first wait till they can play, and see for them selfes before go complaining here. I think the dev team of this game has done a good job, grafics as in game play. Also my believe is that on a map 25 vs 25 it wont matter 1 or 2 with boost on the tanks.
@Entropy730 I never said you got an advantage than other people by buying cosmetic crap or even new units. But yes if you play Tribes Ascend or Blacklight you do get an advantage for buing new weapons and gear even if it's balanced. You can't use them if you didn't buy them.
@Dreamcaseal maybe i'm missing something but the best F2P games DON'T give advantages to people spending money. if you want a certain-colored army or different banners then spend a few dollars to support the company. why should some fat rich kid who uses his dad's wallet get a better advantage and cooler weapons than me? that's stupid because the people who spend the most i.e. the richest people, win. every F2P game should never favor those who spend the most money. that's something Activision would do
This is a really stupid F2P game with no strategic depth like Tiberian Twilight. Loaded with purchasable customization that isn't necessary and adds nothing to the gameplay like all F2P games. Have no desire to play it and quite frankly more annoyed by it every time I see it. Inb4 thumbs down by people who love marketing strategies.
@Assimilat0r I agree. I love indie games because their developers tend to think outside of the box. Trion seem to be trying that and with Westwood's long track record of great RTS's (I know it's Petroglyph but it's all Westwood's team.) I'm looking forward to the result's. Hope it works and doesn't come off as gimmicky.
I managed to be Alpha tester for Trion and this game because my early forum activity , but for now i like idea of new game genre MMO - RTS
Wow, the original Westwood studios is still working on End of Nations? That game didn't really grab my attention, but I'm liking the unit designs for this new game. Well I wish them the best of luck.
