1 Like Looks like they picked out some of the better aspects of the first and second games. Lush, tropical island setting, flame mechanic from 2, ditched the goofy mutants from 1, and improved the lame FC2 wildllife with some real party animals! Bitchin'!
This game looks very charming indeed. Its got a GTA feel with more in your face sequences. I'm so amped already..
I LOVE IT ALREADY, everything i complained about wildlife in far cry 2 is fixed here !! i just hope there is still a flametrower even if it is dlc or there is no dinamic fire like fc2.
Omg the views are so astonishing that my initial reaction was to rewind to make sure my eyes had gotten it right
1 Like @foxrock66 Compared to the first FarCry game for PC as I already stated in my post prior to your question. Perhaps it looks better on PC than console.
1 Like Am I the only one who sees dated graphics? The first FarCry game has better graphics than this one. I think the graphics look pretty awful.
@jackson2415 first far cry has better graphics ? HAUHAUAHUAHUAAHHA. maybe you meant Crysis,in that case yes, it has better graphics then even crysis 2 and 3. What is fooling you is that they adopted a more saturated pallete so thinks stand out more and kinda look fake, but it is a stylistic aproach.
@jackson2415 I actually do agree, there is a more cartoonish look than a realistic look, not really bad graphics but I generally prefer the realistic look to games. It doesn't have the weird shining surfaces that FC1 has, but that added to FC1's charm.
Hehe, I do need to get new glasses actually.
But I did watch it 720p. I do like what I see from the game play and open world.
This'll be worth buying when they get round to patching out the bugs and finishing the game, like they did with Far Cry 2. Which means... it will never be worth buying.
1 Like @itchyflop I don't know if it does, but a game this complex almost certainly will have a few. Pray that it doesn't though, because if it does you'll be stuck with them for life.
@brok iv always enjoyed the far cry series, the last involved too much driving in a shit 1st person view, though i get the scale of the island and the combat was good. This looks awesome id give it a try, every game has a bug somewhere, hopefully this wont have too many to spoil the fun. But im pretty sure ubisoft have gotten it right this time. i mean look at it. :)
Not gonna bother till i start hearing some opinions on it. Farcry 2 looked great in the trailers too and look how that game turned out.

@Liliroots Let's just hope they finally have thermals in a Far Cry game, so gliders can actually STAY aloft for once...
1 Like Fucking fantastic!! I honestly thought since it was an outdoor jungle showcase, the trailer would've been using the rock band Guns n' Roses song "Welcome to the jungle" or something, lol!!! Can't wait for this game though, it just looks awesome!!

it its like Far Cry 1 it will be awesome indeed. if its like Far Cry 2 its a waste of time.

@sorin_ro @Mom_said_no As unfinished as Far Cry 2 was, the lack of monsters alone made it better than the other Far Cry games.
