To celebrate the release of the new Assassins Creed 3 DLC Tyranny of King Washington we're having a creative writing contest.

Your task is to research the story line of the new DLC Tyranny of King Washington and craft a journal entry from the point of view of the crazed King Washington. Tales can feature the characters and historical events encountered with the game and during the appropriate time frame. Once you've crafted your entry, consider heading to the Writers Round Table for a peer review from one of our resident Justicars. After that, post a link to your blog entry in the official contest thread.
To participate, create a blog entry that contains the following:
- A story told from the perspective of "Mad King Washington"
- Be a minimum of 300 words in length
- Include a footnote that indicates your blog entry is for the GameSpot Assassins Creed III: DLC creative writing contest.
You can use the following videos to help assist you with creating your entry:

We will be selecting three (3) winners to receive the season pass for Assassin's Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington. Getting you Chapter One: The Infamy, and access to the future episodes upon their release.

Assassin's Creed as a series is now dead and buried, I just wanna finish the last of this DLC when it comes out and then that will be it. I don't give a shit about a new Assassin's Creed 4 in Brazil, to what point and purpose will it serve just to make another new assassin? Even more what the hell is the point for them to have this contest when you have to PLAY the actual DLC or is it just what you know based on the original game story? Spare yourselves the waste of time in doing this it's not worth it unless you win a good amount of money or hell if you feel like it and are a writer, go and do it, I don't give a shit. It should have ended with Ezio in Revelations.

I think it is a very good, but there is a major problem with it... basically, ACIII is a buggy mess!

@punksterdaddy depends on what system you have it for, my 360 version is just fine, no real issues there. Most of those bugs were fixed in the last patch.

I know they supposedly fixed it with patches. How else can you explain this though, it still doesn't play correctly? I can not complete the liberation missions in Boston as the character I need to recruit has vanished???
Then there is the issue of my caravan, it is stuck on the side of the road and although I saved it and killed the regulars, it won't go away!!
This is only two of over 10 different issues that I can remember at the moment. I am not having a pop at you, I just find this inexcusable from Ubisoft. They said it was developed over 3 years since ACII... that can't be true?
I know everyone is p*ssed at Rockstar about the delay of GTA V, I was too... but at least they take their time, just to try and get a game done properly.
The same cannot be said of Ubisoft... Too eager to milk the cash cow of the Christmas rush of 2012 and to make sure their "Doomsday," tie in works, by using the date of 21st Dec 2012 all through the 5 titles.
There can be no other explanation as to why they released such a mess!?
The story is great, the game play is great, but the bugs are far too often. I bet I will have loads of people blindly defending AC III now? Before anyone does, tell me this...

1 Like Wait.... So we get a season pass by writing a story about the thing were getting the season pass for...... meaning we have to play it to know what it's about...? anyone else find this rather pointless?
@RPG_Fan_I_Am It's creative writing, you don't need to have played the game to get the gist of what the DLC is about. That's what the examples (the three videos) are for. To use them as sort of a launching pad to help stir any creative juices.
@RPG_Fan_I_Am The season pass is for DLC, not the game itself. Entrants should be people that already have the base game, otherwise, what would you possibly do with DLC for a game you don't own anyway?

Also, by "historical events encountered with the game and during the appropriate time period," are you referring to the time period of the main game, or just the DLC?
1 Like Wait, you want me to do something I would normally be forced to write in a boring English class, all in order to win something as inane as a DLC Season Pass? Should have made it a cash prize or something. Who the hell is going to do this for a SEASON PASS?
I really wanna play this game. But I freaking can't play it for an hour without getting bored. I still haven't finished Haytham's chapters yet. God, that character is so awful.
6 Like @SultaN-s You probably won't finish the game then if you manage to get to Conner. Haytham is the best character in the damn game. Such potential wasted.
@Vozlov @SultaN-s agreed you guys. Haytham wasn't annoying like Connor. But nooooooo! he had to fall in love with some Indian woman who kinda funny gets killed in both the original game and in the DLC. Either way she dies, and it's pointless, so why even bother with Connor? Charles Lee should have done us all a favor and just snapped Connor's neck, Bingo! The End. Or IMHO it should have been the end with Revelations with Ezio, Revelations was actually fun! This comes off way too much like hustling Mel Gibson in The Patriot.
