For those saying this doesn't feel like a traditional Final Fantasy game, it's not supposed to. At most it should feel similar to FFXI, the other MMO in the series but this is just that... an MMO. The idea is to take the core FF experience, put you in the role of a single character and experience the world through his/her eyes. You're either someone that liked FFXI and is excited about this or you're not. Whether or not this is old hat FF is irrelevant. FFXI is/was very popular, at one point being the most popular MMO in Japan, and is currently the most profitable FF in the entire series. Obviously the idea of a FF MMO was well received and an attempt at one should probably be expected with just about every console generation. If you don't like it skip it and hold out for FFXV. I'm waiting on FFXV anyway in hopes of something far better than the FFXIII entries. I actually loved FFXI and feel hopeful about this revamped version (the first attempt was beyond terrible).
