I agree AoE online was crap. But I hope Lionhead studios try to develop a game like B&W3 Age of Empires 4 wont be outdated with a few new features and graphics, it can be one of the best games in the market, believe me. AoE online was made for fast money, no development or anything, anyone can make a game like AoE online.
@Zaki994 I was hoping AoE Online would satisfy my cravings, but I was disappointed by it. It's too much of an MMO and leveling up than actually good old RTS. And it basically forces you to pay for a premium civilization because the enemies become so difficult without better loot.
While I believe that Age of Empires formula is outdated (black and white 3 would be cool though) - this increase in browser based games hurts my feelings

you know free to play games i think are one of things keeping invoations alive in the video game world cause if your game sucks nobody will play it
its a free to play with paypal kind of game, with a register and all... but not all of the games of this type are lame or crap, some are quite decent, some you can play totally free but it goes much faster if you pay... well I guess they have to make money some how...
So is this an awesome looking retail game or a lame pay to win microtransaction based free to play game? If it's the latter, yea, no thanks.
