Yeah that was definitely my favorite series so far. And I'm not all that surprised out in the West with LA and Phoenix. Jonathan Quick is an absolute monster in net and is capable of carrying a team all on his own. The Kings as a whole had been playing solid hockey for about 2 weeks leading into the playoffs so they've just managed to keep that momentum rolling. Vancouver are choke artists that got lucky enough to even be in the Finals last year, and St. Louis really doesn't have a lot of playoff experience so I can't say I'm too surprised that LA beat both of them. I'm surprised at the number of games it took (only 9?!) but the Kings are a VERY underrated hockey team that are playing lights out right now. They're my pick to win it all as of now. It would be great for Richards to get a championship too. I would have loved it to be in a Flyers uniform, but that trade was outside of his control so I hold no ill will against him and always wish him the best. He was my favorite player as a Flyer and probably still is, although Giroux is definitely giving him a run now. Dude is incredible.

As for Phoenix, they haven't really played anybody. Chicago is overrated and Nashville is good, but not great. I'm surprised at how well Mike Smith has played though. He's really the reason they're in the Western Conference Finals. The team I'm most susprised with overall is the Devils to be honest. I did not pick them to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals at all. I thought they were going out against Florida, and even if they did win I figured that either Philly or Pittsburgh would outmatch them easily and they'd be gone in the second round. They're playing with this hunger right now though that makes them a dangerous team. It would so beautiful to see Washington come back and take this series too but they had their chance in Game 5 and blew it.

They have made some pretty big cuts from some filler in the books and some things that just wouldn't have any point on screen, and in doing so, they took considerable liberties with the way certain things play out. Not only is it exciting to be watching the show and see things not go how I expected, the changes they made are actually for the better. Some things make more sense. Some are more intense. And some hype you up better for things yet to come. It's great. However, that scene you linked plays out just as it does in the book. Because it's just too beautiful to change. lol[/QUOTE]

That's odd that the changes or for the better. I'm normally a real stickler for things staying the way they were meant to be in the book so it'll be interesting to see how I react to the changes when I get to it. Looking forward to that scene in the book then too. Tyrion just might be my favorite character so far. I love his wit and dry sense of humor.

So disappointing. By far my most anticipated game. I'm like literally foaming at the mouth for every trailer just waiting to get my hands on it and now I have to wait :( Really hope this delay is worth it.
