He's a decent player that can do a lot of different things well. That tends to be a quality the Patriots are very high on when signing free agents.

More or less this. I like what the Patriots have done so far in free agency, nothing grooundbreaking but they've shored up some weaknesses.

Still think Eagles won't get to the SB. Vick is a really good QB, but he is just too fragile.

Yup. Vick, Romo, Rivers, etc are in that tier of QB that are good but not good enough.

    PUNTER NEWS!

"Giants sign punter Steve Weatherford to five-year, $12.75 million deal."

    Via PFT

Moral of the story: If you're a great holder on field goals and you kick away from DeSean Jackson, you get paid.

I'm intrigued by Flynn maybe being our QB, but I'm just not sold yet. There has to be a reason why he was a 7th round pick in the first place.

Flynn played really well in a game against the Lions and it was a high scoring game too. And thats all I know about him.

Against one of the league's worst secondaries, in a game that didn't have any significance. He played great, but I'm kind of playing devil's advocate so I don't get my hopes up that he might be the next great QB.

He's still better than the main QB in Seattle. Lynch is doing more work for the team than T.Jack.

Here's more about Flynn and stuff about Henne.

Matt Dodge is probably crying in a corner somewhere. Such a waste.

In other news, Kamerion Wimbley got released by the Raiders. 16 sacks combined the last 2 years & 28 years old. Could be a nice consolation prize for anyone who missed out on Mario Williams.

Looks like Charlie Whitehurst is a Charger. Also, am I the only who thinks Matt Moore should get a chance to compete for starter somewhere? He wasn't to bad last season.

Would like to see him on the Bears if he could play end, but I think he'd be sorely misused as an LB in a 4-3 scheme.

Sounds like Brandon Lloyd is close to joining the Patriots. I like it, gives Brady a downfield, outside the numbers threat to throw to.

Yeah, because it was totally the top 10 passing, top 5 rushing, PFT #2 rated oline that was the problem.

We still have over 16 mill, and all the best ILB are still around and so is Vick's friend Plaxico... Oh yeah... It feels close.

Oh, and Bears fans should worry about providing the best legal team for your new WR. I know he has great hands, but you don't want him worrying about dropping the soap.

I'm not on a certain side here but that wasn't the best comeback in the world.

I'm sure having the most INTs as an offense didn't help the defense. And yes I know he didn't throw them all.
