Firstly, yes, I admit that I have crafted a peculiar title just to grab your attention.

Specifically, I would like your attention to be directed at this indie game, Offspring Fling, described as an "action puzzle platforming" game by its creator, but from my impressions of the game, it seems to be a puzzler, and one whose gameplay designs have been done many times before.

Instead, it's the premise that caught my eye, and caught it tightly enough for me to be terribly amused.

It concerns the travails of a cuddly but somewhat careless creature that happens to be the mother of a massive litter. All the little ones appear to be even fluffier and bouncier than she is, to the point that she can hurl them around without much of any harm inflicted on them.

In other words, she gets them to safety by having them bounce from ramp to ramp and defeats enemies that threaten her children by throwing her children at them.

    It's really silly to me.

Yes, she's throwing her baby away at something.

All the ladies below (mostly drawn by a certain awesome but, for better or worse, not-so-well known fan artist) are actual game characters, though not (necessarily) THAT kind of games if you are thinking about those.

Maybe you want to read this: POSSIBLE BAIT & SWITCH IN TRIBES: ASCEND.

Did you see Maxwell play this on last week's episode of On The Spot? My favorite moment was at about 1:01:45 when he chucked his offspring into the acid and was super upset about it.

I did! I even posted a comment there that linked to this thread (which is older than that On the Spot episode).

My favorite moment is when Tom McShea protested that there "aren't human children involved".

P.S. For anyone who bothers to watch that demo, here is the edited-out portion of that On The Spot episode.

I am more attracted by the soundtracks than the rest of the game.

Puzzle games are boring if they have no good sound track

That was a good video.. how about checking out this Bubble Breaker-like game, called Big Fat Pong.

Big Fat Pong needs your help to make this dream a reality. Its similar to Bubble Breaker but with a twist. Please visit http://www.indiegogo.com/bigfatpong and support us with small contributions, and remember to spread word about us too!
