So how does everyone feel about the new god of war gaming being a prequel? I know it would have been hard to go with the story as it ended but still? not sure this will be a good or bad thing.

I'm slightly disappointed. I thought it'd be a new character and new mythology (Egyptian or Norse).

I don't mind it. I'll be looking forward to the game and probably enjoying it, just like the other God of War games.

I also think that the God of war and I also find it's latest variant much difficult than the previous variant of God of war.The story is hard to solve but It make game more interesting and adventurous.

I wouldn't disagree that the game will be tons of fun, I just think that a prequel is one too many. How many prequels can a game have.? They should make a new character entirely, or just stop the money milking bussiness.

I'll be happy if they retire Kratos after this. If they keep shaking the money tree or reboot the series I'll probably wash my hand of it. My take on the GoW series thus far (played on hardest difficulty):

-GoW1---Mind-numbingly hard (mainly due to cerberus) but rewarding

-GoW 2---Toned down the challenge a notch but refined the combat slightly and added more enemy variety

-GoW3---Complete **** **** story. Toned down the challenge to kiddy levels.

    -never played the PSP ones.

i think it will be good as usual, specially looking forward to the multiplayer side, that should bring something new to the series

also @Ibra8 ghost of sparta is between 1 and 2, just as good as the rest of the games really

Its such a transparent attempt at squeezing money from a franchise that should star a new main character and a new mythology. This being said I will buy it as I loved the story and theme of the GoW series. I just wish they could move the story forward, as the pantheon of Greek mythology gave way to Christianity so too would I like to see the GoW series move forward.
