I have this on the PSVita, so there's no way I'm getting it on 3DS unless it has cool extra features. The likelihood of the 3DS version stacking up to the Vita version is unlikely to say the least
i chose the 3ds version over the vita because of the 3d...im sure it will look 10x better and more immersive than vita.
Not to start a fight here. I hate fanboys and I'm just being realistic. The Vita's D-pad is superior for 2D games. The screen resolution is much higher, meaning the game will look much sharper on Vita than 3DS, in addition to the screen being larger. The 3D may be a cool effect, but it won't match the higher resolution, the larger screen, and superior D-pad. Hell, the Vita version looks better than the wii version with its 960x544 resolution vs the wii's 720x480 at much larger sizes as well. Also, there was the ability to tap enemies and burst bubbles with the touch screen, which if it is tried to be implemented in the 3DS version won't be as natural because of the separate screens. I'm still curious about the 3DS version, which is why I'm holding out on a demo, but the Vita version will most likely be better
EDIT:I only play in 3D on the 3DS if the gameplay benefits from it and only Super Mario 3D Land and Kid Icarus Uprising have benefitted from it so far. A 2D game like Rayman origins which doesn't involve switching planes will make the 3D more of a superfluous extra than an immersive or enhancing experience.
sounds to me like your eyes cant handle the 3d..maybe thats why you like your vita more.....the whole reason the 3ds didnt go high resolution like the PSvita is because the 3d was supposed to bring a tottally new and fresh experience... if you like your 2d high resolution graphics over 3d then thats your opinion....i havnt got a vita yet but i can tell you the 3d in 3ds games makes me more immersed than playing a playstation 3.
but thats just opinion.
oh and about the d-pad... your supposed to ujse the circle pad now.,. dpad was last gen.

ummm......
1-You assume my eyes can't handle 3D? I can play in 3D several hours straight with no detriment to my vision so thanks for making an assinine assumption. The reason I only play in 3D when it benefits a game and leave it off for everything else is very logical. I don't want to deal with draining the already pathetic battery even faster, and keeping in the 3D sweetspot 100% of the time is a pain in the ass.
2-3D in most 3DS games looks worse anyways because it introduces even more jagged edges
3-Are you high? D-pads are last gen? Last time I checked, 2D games feel better on D-pads than any form of analog stick
4-And I've been far immersed with games like Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, The Witcher 2, Heavy Rain, etc... than any 3DS or handheld game for that matter(the Vita Uncharted was majorly underwhelming)
5-Have you played the demo yet? Care for me to list off issues for you? Low res compressed graphics? Check. Super tiny characters and objects making it more difficult to see on top of the lower esolution? Check. Less responsive controls? Check. Lower quality audio? Check. Lower framerate and slowdown? Check.
The 3DS version is a disaster. The Vita version is the console version on the go minus co-op, which was replaced with player ghosts and some extra hidden unlockables/collectables. Good day to you sir. I will now carry on with my day and continue playing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked on my 3DS

if you could handle the 3d you wouldnt be turning it off unless you were moving too much or on the bus or something....3d is the whole point of the system..for most games
2-3D in most 3DS games looks worse anyways because it introduces even more jagged edges
again jaggies dont matter when the 3d has you head over heels immersed in the game...thats why nintendo went 3d over graphics.
3-Are you high? D-pads are last gen? Last time I checked, 2D games feel better on D-pads than any form of analog stick
the 3ds doesnt have analog sticks....its a cricle pad which works terrific for both 2d and 3d games....just another innovation by nintendo...wiiU will also use this.
4-And I've been far immersed with games like Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, The Witcher 2, Heavy Rain, etc... than any 3DS or handheld game for that matter(the Vita Uncharted was majorly underwhelming)
ok... you dont get immeresed inhandhelds...thats your problem...maybe if your eyes could handle the 3d maybe?

controls are fine, graphics look good,3d is great, didnt notice any slowdown from framerate, audio is like any other handheld....just people who expect perfection from some corny rayman game.

You're very ignorant. The circle pad is an analog stick. It is analog sensitive and how do you get off saying I can't handle the 3D when I myself said I can play for hours in 3D. Also, you're response to my number 5 is..... Have you played the Vita or console versions? Youwould have noticed the more sluggish paceimmediately. Also, how the **** does my last paragraph make me a Vita fanboy? I said the 3DS version is a disaster. If you've played any other version, you would agree it is a terrible port. Plus, I said I was off to play a 3DS game. I hate fanboys. Fanboys are retarted.

do you see a stick sticking out of the 3ds like the vita and the 360/ps3 controllers? no... its a new design by nintendo that makes 2d and 3d games both equally playable with the same pad.
if you want to call it analog circle pad thats fine... but not analog stick.thats last gen controls.
Umm, it is analog sensitive. It is not a NEW kind of control method for 2D and 3D games. That really makes you come off as a Nintendo sheep that takes everything by them as innovative. Oh big deal that it doesn't stick out. Sony's D-pad was the first and I believe only d-pad to be broken apart rather than one cross. Am I going to be ignorant and say it is a NEW kind of innovative D-pad? No, it is simply a different design. Jeesus, man.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
It offers analog motion in a way that's less precise than a real analog stick. It's pretty good considering Nintendo has made concessions to fit an analog stick onto a handheld (I think it works better than the Vita's sticks as it offers more range of motion), but it's nowhere near the real thing. That Nintendo is actually using the circle pad on the WiiU controller is a disaster in the making, as it's less comfortable and less precise than the real thing. Also, the circle pad is an abomination for Rayman Origins, and Origins doesn't even control that well with the dpad on the 3DS. It's one of the worst handheld ports I've ever played, to be honest.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

So it may be good.

Pity the demo ran in 30 FPS and looked pretty muddy. Other than that, it was still fun, imo. May be the worst version, but it's still Rayman Origins.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Even the menu, with the 3D off, is at a terrible resolution. My DS games look better than this.

Fractured Soul~NSMB2~The Last Story~Kingdom Hearts 3D~Heroes of Ruin

My Impressions (taken from the 3DS Info Thread)
I tried out the Rayman Origins demo... Umm... I'm not quite sure what to say about the demo, some things were alright and other things were "Really, Ubisoft?...:|".
I guess I'll start with - The Good: Controls were nice and responsive when using the d-pad, levels were well designed and very close to the console versions (from what I could tell), graphics looked pretty grainy/dull, but they were still fairly detailed, and the 3D effect was subtle -- almost in a good way.
The Bad and Very Ugly: Some glitchy low quality audio, low quality audio in general, low image quality, the camera feels like it's zoomed out a bit too far at times, and sometimes the 3D is TOO subtle.
From what I've heard the demo is about 50MB and it's likely that everything is SUPER compressed, so hopefully the full game looks and sounds much better than this demo. Ubi have probably already lost a few sales because of this subpar demo, though. I myself will not be getting it, since I plan on buying the console version soon.
Problem with demos: downsampling to be a smaller downloadable size.
The demo is 50Mb, including engine and music, etc. Of course the retail copy will be 2Gb or more...
(However, controls is another matter.)
Revelaitons was like that too. Demo put me off due to blurry artifacty graphics, but full game was pristine and gorgeous.
