I thought it was great but damn were there too many enemies sometimes. They needed some exploration element IMO that would balance out the hundreds of thousands of enemies you face throughout the game. Everytime you walk 5 feet there are 10 enemies to kill.

I think the set pieces are varied enough. Clubs, cruise ship, Panama Canal, the airport, the old hotel. And all of them done with meticulous detail.
The only complaint i had was that the whenever the characters would speak Portuguese, it would be in Portuguese in the sub-titles as well, so if you don't know Portuguese, you had no idea what the characters were saying. But R* did do a good job, by having great facial animation and voice acting, so knew what was going on just by the facial expressions and voice tones.
[/QUOTE] This was intentional. Max has no idea what they're saying, and so neither do we.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Yeah and if you have an understanding of the language, some plot details can be given away or hinted at. Its like in the beginning of Iron Man 2 where the bad guys reveal the giant twist right on video, but no subtitles so only people who understand the language would know.
It also reminds me of Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and how depending on which character you chose, you could understand certain NPC's or factions through subtitles, but wouldn't if you didn't know the language or didn't pick the person that understands that specific language.
