I disagree. I think LA would of been the better choice while Nash should went to NY. I just wonder if Kidd is motivated enough considering he finally got a ring. I that whole Mavs team wasn't interested in the 2011-2012 season.
Nash plays more of that Mike D'antoni style of offense which didn't work for the NYK and Melo. Kidd is the better fit for the style of offense NY runs.

Melo would of adjusted. Also you haven't forgetten Amere exceled in that offense. Tyson would of adjusted to it.

But they didn't adjust when D'antoni WAS coaching them. Melo basically ran him out of town because he didn't like that style of offense. Kidd is a better fit for this group of NYK. Everything runs through Melo now. Amare is breaking down and only a shell of himself anymore.

Melo style may have worked at college, but it aint working in the NBA playoffs games. Melo needs to be more open. James had him on lock down. Nash at the point would of did wonders for knicks.

The main point is Melo's game is going one on one and shooting jumpers... not the up tempo run and gun offensive game D'antoni coached which is what Nash does and thrives in. Same thing in Denver where they played amazing the minute Melo got traded.

It's also the offense that Lin went nuts in when the NYK had their huge run of wins. Which by the way Melo was HURT during and had no part of. The minute he came back the offense got stagnant again. The NYK offense will run through Melo... and Kidd's game is a better fit than Nash. With Nash in LA...I would not be surprised to see M.Brown gone... and D'antoni coaching the Lakers sooner rather than later.

The Knicks trade for Melo will end up being a flop.
