My friend got me addicted back when she wanted me to try it on PS2. I agree on the fact the story is kind of all over the place and across multiple platforms, but I'll most likely pick this up within the first week of release.

I can't wait for this game finally release here, my biggest reasone for getting 3DS in the first place. I'm actually replaying all KH games for both consoles and handhelds to refresh my memory on the story.

Never played a KH game, but probably going to try this one anyway. I mean from what I understand the story is convoluted mess anyway, you don't know whats going on even if you did play it.

So they're still using that Utada song in every single one of their trailers? I really need to get a 3DS.

    Good luck with that.

It's better if you know what the story is though, considering the games are kinda long - it keeps you motivated to go further. The gameplay alone won't do that for this series.

I'm on the opposite end of you, I played through Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days ... I'm done now. While the gameplay is fun, it's not enough to carry the franchise forward and they've really messed up the story.

The game looks good, but what's with all this corny SE music? Their orchestral offerings are great, but when their songs involve singing, it's always cringe-worthy terrible. Other examples of this would include: FFXIII-2, other KH games and worst of all, Grandia 3.

It looks like it'll be a good game, but for some reason I'm not holding any excitement for it. Which I feel is kinda odd since even though I've never played one; I've always wanted to play one, but now I'm not "feeling it" and I can't put my finger on why exactly...

Oh and for people who have missed some (or all) of the games, or just need of a little refresher:

"The game has a "Memoir" menu where you can access tutorials and help for the game, but also view a recap of the Kingdom Hearts saga thus far. Two story recap options are available. One will allow you to view scenes from Kingdom Hearts 3D, while Chronicle will let you view the stories of the previous Kingdom Hearts titles, game-by-game." - Siliconera.com
