    I've always wondered this.

In BATMAN BEGINS, Wayne Enterprises built a whole train system for the entire Gotham City to help less fortunates travel (as Bruce's Father explains).

    s

But in both DARK KNIGHT and DARK KNIGHT RISES, the train system is no longer there....????

    Anybody know why ???

    *Spoilers*

If you recall in Batman Begins, the (current) Commissioner Gordon decided to destroy the supports of the railway system that was connected to Wayne Tower. I don't know why he would do such a thing, but I think it MIGHT have been related to saving Gotham?

Well I'm watching Batman Begins on TV right now and it's almost over. Basically the rail got f*cked at the end of Batman Begins and they must have never rebuilt it

I noticed this, too, and I suppose it couldn't be integral to either of the plotlines in 'TDK' or 'TDKR'.

A more obvious plothole is that the Wayne building in 'Begins' is different than the one shown near the beginning of 'TDK'.

I thought about this, but it's only a section of the entire track.... not the whole thing that covers the city.

I noticed that too. I just thought that it was another building.

True, idk I guess the city decided they didn't need a fancy train for poor people anymore

    Possibly.

The board room is also different, but it could just be a different room. I suppose since Bruce hadn't yet taken over the company in 'Begins' that he may have made some improvements between 'Begins' and 'The Dark Knight'.

Not much point in rebuilding it. The slums where the poor people live was doused in fear gas and overrun with violent criminals. So presumably, everyone who the rail system was intended to help is probably already dead.

    UPDATE: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=307603&page=4

Looks like the Monorail IS in Dark Knight. But they showed it so much in BB, they really tried to hide it in DK and DKR.

As for the building, people are saying that the bottom of WAYNE Enterprise Tower got damaged, so maybe Bruce decided to remodel. That's a stupid theory imo, as if you would take down a building.

Another plausible theory is that WAYNE Enterprise Tower is still in the city, they just show another building which is just a WAYNE Business Building.

i thought the rail system in Begins magically turned into the L train system from Chicago er i mean Gotham in Dark Knight. then disappeared all together in Dark Knight Rises.
