I may check it out but not until its at a discount the game being made by a studio I've never really heard of before so I don't have a huge amount of faith it be a great title..

The music is good. Clearly they are using the theme from the TV show, though I would appreciate some Original SoundTrack abit more.
The characters and enviroments clearly show this is based on the TV show, abit saddening. I wanted to see an original portrayal of the world of Westeros, not a knock off based on the TV series. I indentified playing a Brother of the Night's Watch, and man in the red robes and flaming sword is quite obviously the Red Priest, Thoros of Myr.
My biggest concern is the graphics though. They are horrible. Animation is okay, but the models look horrible and the textures even worse, and they faces, OH DEAR GOD, That's PS2 all over again!.
This game is shaping up to be no more than a cash in.... I just hope the story will be able to make up for it.
Looks kinda cool, and reminds me of the Witcher 2 a bit, at least in the theme. Did you see the guy wearing spectacles!? WT? I'm pretty sure specs weren't around then, hmmm.....An excellent series of books, though, A Feast For Crows wasn't as good as the others in the series, just my opinion.
1 Like I am always skeptic on games based on movies or shows. They always turn out to be crap. The only game I can think of to pull it off was Goldeneye 64.

I have never watched the show, or read the books. The graphics seem a touch dated from the trailer, but quite honestly this is a problem affecting many games these days, not just this particular studio.
Even so, solid gameplay can more than make up for graphic issues. I'm going to wait and see.

I am absolutely hooked on the series on HBO, so I am waiting to see what this game may be like. Combat looks a little like DA, but the Game of Thrones is really not about combat, it's about an amazing story.

"Thwart the plot that is threatening the kingdom." This has to be the most basic plot level that a fantasy game can operate on, and one that the books and TV series does not. Where's the intrigue? The filth? The spine-tingling betrayals and human sense of loss? Blah! No artistic vision whatsoever. Reminds me of the latter Harry Potter adaptations in that sense. Either that, or this trailer is really bad and doesn't show off the game very well at all.
2 Like hm gonna wait for this one, graphics look partially dated and partially ok... either they used different kind of graphic settings for this trailer or the texture resolution in this game is unbalanced... anyway if the story is from marten its gotta have a good story at least and for me thats important in an rpg... plus i loved the novels so far, would be cool to see westeros in a decent game...

1 Like @snowshreder yes skyrim is amazing but it's not story driven, not saying this game will be any good though but I myself prefer games like mass effect and The Witcher but I still enjoy TES, and the unreal engine 3 is not under par just not used to it's potential here at all it seems
This is really a shame, such a great story wasted on a game engine that is under par. if you put this next to skyrim on the shelf which would you pick?
1 Like Fable (2005 game) had better graphics than this...yeah i know story and chars matter more but i just don't like my hero looking like the protagonist from the first Deus Ex back in 2000!
This trailer reminds me of those Asian mmorpg's. Except this has less action and more talk. Uses same camera view!
What I got out of the trailer was a good music score. There's got to be more than this, to wet my appetite.
from the wiki, this is a separate story written by George RR Martin. As long as Cynaide do their bit, I have every faith that it will be a success. (Hope there are some kind of side game ala early Final Fantasy eg VIII to give this some longevity and replay value, as you can't create your own character and can only be two viewpoints).
