Hellboy: The Science of Evil User Review
- Difficulty:
- Very Easy
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Boring"
I really only got this game because i loved the Hellboy movies and when heard there was a game coming out i though oh cool now i can play as hellboy and get in on the action.
oh how i was wrong.
The voice acting and graphics are cool, the sounds are good but nothing to go mad about.
The story is pretty poo and uninteresting but the main thing is the gameplay of course... its um... boring.
its just walk around and hit stuff that moves, theres no cool block and counter moves or anything like that.
Theres really not much to keep you interested and i would imagine that after you complete it the first time you will just want to trade it in like i did, oh and by the way its got a very low trade value, i cant believe i actually got this when it first came out and spent just under £40 on it.
There is a multiplayer split screen mode but its just pants.
The split screen makes the action too small to see very well unless your TV is HUGE.
Player 1 is hellboy and player 2 is Abe Sapien. The cut scenes are no different and Abes presence in the game isnt acknowledged at all which kinda makes the multiplayer seem very redundant.
My advice would be if you absolutely have to try this game them maybe rent it or just wait for it to be in the bargain bin, thats if it just dosnt die out and disapear before it gets there.

Not bad for the first 2 chapters, but quickly gets very boring, repetative, and tedious. Good for some easy achievement
