I wonder if you can go through all that without killing any of the cops, that would be a serious buzz for me.

In this gameplay video for Hitman: Absolution, Agent 47 seeks refuge in an abandoned Chicago library while the cops hunt him down.
I find it really idiotic and annoying that quite a number of people on Youtube.com or otherwise are complaining that this game is completely different than the others and its going to suck when they haven't even played it yet. You're entitled to your opinion, but this game looks like it just adds to the gameplay elements and features of the past games of the series, as the developers have said countless times in countless interviews they've been in for the past year. So if you go ahead and decide to complain about this game for about the next few months, I feel sorry for you, because I'm going to be playing the best Hitman game ever while you do. :)
Nice, now agent 47 is one of Desmond's ancestors as well... Game developers are always like "hey, that similar genre game is making sucess, let's take some features of it and put them on our game so it will be more market-appealing"...pity this generally backfires.
kl watched the film the other day and decided to look up hitman. i then thought wow theres a new game coming out.
i really hope that x-ray/eagle vision thingy can be turned off..kinda makes it a bit easier i think =P
Going to be very disappointed if the AI will always know where you are at when they are on full alert... Clearly, this game was played on Easy... Really with the change of clothes in the matter of seconds? And do we really have to kill all the men in blue? Sure, they are trying to kill or apprehend you...I would prefer incapacitation. That's the point to stealth games.
People who will love the scripted version will never know the feeling you get when you have just 10 sec to get inside a room, grab the silenced pistol from the table, get inside the bathroom and kill the fat man taking a shower (which never ends), drop the towel in your hand and get out before his bodyguard who is in balcony comes back in the room. The average person will never know "The Traditions Of Such Trades".... :) @ 6.50 Is it just me or did I just see Ezio?
No David Bateson. (Agent 47 Voice) No Vivienne McKee (Diana Voice) No Jesper Kyd (Soundtrack) I worry that this game will loose it edge, and become way too linearly. And won't work with the new voices... Hope Not. But i think IO made a mistake not the recast the orginal voices.. :)
this really seems like its a step by step kinda thing they got going. i only played blood money and part of what i liked about it is that they gave you pretty well the whole level to explore at ur lesure. it was up to you to find certain ways to farther improve or make kills/ completing objectives smoothly. the ai wasnt the greatest but after playing a level 50 times knowing their evey move was kind of something ud pride urself in. ether way this level looks very detailed and i hope they will have dlc missions later on cause "we" all have been waiting waay to long!
that just changed my life. This series is great and always has been. The only thing im worried about it replay value. What do you think theyre gona do? I really hope they dont stoop as low as to do some sort of online multiplayer (competitive anyway) because there would be no point. Maybe a survival or co-op mode would be the right direction. I hope the single player campaign is long
The game play does look amazing in this highly anticipated game. I can't remember a fonder memory than walking around in random disguises with my sniper rifle brief case in hand. The only troubling thing I have heard about the game is that it is becoming more stringent in the way the levels unfold. In Blood Money for example there were numerous maps that were somewhat wide open leaving a little more room to truly come at your target in your own style. Either way this is without a doubt one of the franchises that helped get the PlayStation where it is today, can't wait!!
it is looking good.....i hope it takes the series to next level. x ray vision might be optional easy part
I read the comments below and lots of players complaining about the X-Ray but I think that will be optional for the guys who want the easy route and there definitely will be one mode where you get the old hardcore way of playing it, that still seems possible. As for the scripting part, it adds to whole cinematic value of the game, something which is appealing to a large part of the audience nowadays so really can't blame them for it. All in all, this seems like a really good title. Sad that there is an entire year worth of wait before getting to play this one. :(
that was freaking epic. just thinking about all the possible ways to go about that. didnt really like that scripted helicopter chase too much - too linear for hitman. but i guess it may appeal to others. loving that hide your face system and good to see the crowd system making a return there. also loving the depth of dynamic AI interactions and conversation. and the humour!! irony of that hate police poster and flushing the plant to see thousands more. lol. wasnt too optimistic before i watched this, now i dont think ive ever been more excited for a hitman title!
Is there any reason for these parodist voices? I feel as if we're watching the penguins of Madagascar here. It's bloody horrendous. Also not to sure about this magical x-ray vision. I always liked the menacing feeling of some cop or guard getting close but not knowing if he would be getting too close. I'm not sure I want to see where someone is going to be walking and pausing. Still, I liked this. Even though everything seems obviously scripted and without AI, as @SpacePirate6 stated. It looks nice, the environment, people, lighting etc... Hope my reunion with my favourite an-/protagonist will be swell. Edit: no Jesper Kyd NOR David Bateson? That's about 50% of the gaming experience for me. I think I'm out.
I hope the X-ray vision this can be disabled or its just on the easy setting. Playing on hard is the only way to play anyway.
I'm pro player... this action should be in series 3 or 4... it's little late for this option but if everything is on the place, and bugs are little specially AI, it could be best game of this 10 ears!
@OurSin-360 I hate to single people out to be all contrary towards, and I respect your opinion and am happy for you in that you will likely enjoy this game immensely, but I have to remind you, genuinely NO AI is demonstrated in this video. It appears to be entirely scripted, which may or may not be a good indication of how the real game play will actually pan out. No offense, but Conviction has a reputation among SP veterans for having run one of the greatest stealth espionage franchises ever right into the ground. It was a bunch of scripted take take downs, overly dramatic slowmo, and just plain automatically killed marked targets for you. Hell, it encouraged you to use your gun, and that was just poor form from the franchise. I'm also getting a bit tired of the stealth directed wall hugging seen here, in Deus Ex, and in SP:C. I probably sound regressive to a lot of folks reading this, but I guess that'll happen.
Never could get into the Hitman games, always thought they were too hard and not very fun, but this looks pretty amazing. If the AI can actually keep up that level of realism this could be even better than SC Conviction. I don't like that red eye vision though. This could be the game they've always had the potential to be.
Frankly, I am impressed. Agreed it looks too scripted and the x-ray thing feels a little too easy for regular players but the presentation looks awesome, eagerly anticipating this one.
Cont. Again, the scripted nature of this demo is overbearing to some extent, but it looks like it creates a taught atmosphere, though I sort of wish it were brought down a couple notches nonetheless. I really got a kick out of the end, where a rifle becomes the focus of Agent 47, only to be replaced at the last second with a delicious chocolate frosted doughnut :D Can't repress the fact that Agent 47 won't be the same without David Bateson to provide voice talent, but the guy they got seems to at least not try and imitate Bateson's style (which never works). All in all, this comes as incredibly pleasing material. Back on my radar, to say the least.
