I'M LOVING THIS GAME!!! Buy this game it's fun as hell!
Check out my Hotline Miami vid!
i would love to buy this game, but i have a baby brother that hangs out with me all the time. MY brother plays all my games and i'm curious to know if there is an option that turns off the blood because i don't want my brother to see that. I let him play some bad games but this one is, by far, one of the most brutal game I've ever seen.
Some kiddie made a game in GameMaker, big whoop...
Real programmers (like me) develop in C++, this was made with stupid drag-n-drop trash.
Buggy, and slow, HUGE file size for a trashy game,
also with 50% CPU usage (makes the fan turn on).
Low quality (because not much effort was put into it), my tip: develop in a lower level language (not some childs toy).
@User351251345 you are a stupid fuckk, get a life , get a GF , get a job and stop insulting people who make fun and enjoyable games. Maybe stopping so much C ++ and starting to live the life outthere may be good for you, dumb shitt.
@User351251345 Watch out! Looks like we got a badass (for real) over here!
@User351251345 I dont understand why your angry. If your so good then make your own game and lets see what you got to offer. No need for hate.
@User351251345 Sounds like someone's mad they didn't make a game that Gamespot reviewed.
@User351251345 Watch out guise, we gotta badass over here!
Since you're such a superior game designer (no really) why not ;give us some prime examples of your extreme talent.?
Go back to your C++ for Dummies books and let the gamers have some fun.
@User351251345 Get off your high-horse. Games like Duke Nukem Forever were made with fancy programs and it sucked. Now look at Pong. It doesn't matter how it's made, it matters how good it is.
@User351251345 We've got a real programmer in our midst everyone.
@User351251345 buggy? yes. Inefficient? Hell yes. Low Quality? No. Just no. The gameplay itself is quick, and lends to creativity from the player. The theme and tone were well thought out, keeping consistent across the graphic style and soundtrack. The execution of the game was wonderful, and had me (and most critics) coming away after having tons of fun. This is a game. Games should be fun. Mission accomplished. As for the use of gamemaker, sure, it's a child's toy for those without the skill/desire to learn actual programming. You know what else is a child's toy? Lego. And people can still build things you wouldn't believe with that stupid align-n-attach trash. Bottom line, you're trying way to sound like your a superior intelligent programmer (no really guise) and you only come off as sounding immature and foolish
I bought this a couple of weeks after release... played it once... couldn't get into it. Haven't run it since...
After the criticism to Ultra-Violence following the latest E3 I had some hopes that this industry was going to mature. After seeing this game, and the critical acclaim it received, I think we are hopeless...
I'll keep basing my taste on how good a game is, and not how violent. Just like in movies or any other piece of entertainment. If you don't like it, don't play it, please avoid judging whoever doesn't think like you.
It's not always about the maturity. And you don't reaally notice the violence once you get a little in-depth with the game. but the point is, with a, like, 8 bit graphics and a touch of creativity you can produce an it's-actually-a-good game? I think this review is justifiable.
@rastababy123 Uhh, the graphic processor isn't 8-bit.
The graphics are limited to that of your computer's... And VERY un-optimized GM TRASH... Created by someone with no creativity or skill (sorry but it's true)... You shouldn't be able to tell this kind of trash!
Downtempo soundtrack? Simple but attractive graphics? A story that doesn't feel the need to explain itself, allowing the player to decide?
This sounds right up my alley. Thanks GameSpot. I'm sure I wouldn't have given this a chance if you hadn't reviewed it.

@Johnny9ball urine idiot
I thought it was an excellent review. I haven't played the game (yet), but the review is clear and concise, yet complete. It gives the viewer a very good idea of what playing the game might be like. He also covers the game's flaws.
@Johnny9ball looks like a paid for comment,
@Johnny9ball sorry but I can't grasp an inch of validity with your statement err how can an indie two-man team pay for a review? Oh, and speaking of INDIE and good gameplay (if ever you did play it, which i assume you didn't), err doesn't that seem self-explanatory to you as to why it has that score? or do you want other people to point out how much of a dumbass you are?
@Johnny9ball this is an indie game you shmuck
