As a Fighting Game Fan, I'm willing to give this game a fair shot. Can't be that bad, gameplay-wise. The story, well I'll wait and see about that one.

i love the idea but i agree with trollkind about characters kicking fighters with ease, batman kicking superman through builinds is lame, but please ed boom do a marvel version, maybe Avengers vs Xmen with story mode boss being Hope summers and phoenix and put some villians in there as well
Oh my, just after telling us the difference between gadget and power characters, we are treated to Batman kicking an enemy through multiple floors of a building. The animation timing and speed in general is off and too Mortal Kombat like, for example, smashing someone with a car looked absolutely weightless and therefore you don't really get an impact. This is all fine and dandy in the cheesy MK world but as soon as they try to look somewhat serious with it or present us with characters we already know from elswhere and have certain expectations for, it just falls flat.
I really wish this guy would retire or something, his games are always sub par at best. Now don;t get me wrong the last MK was Okay. the fighting was not as good as a street fighter or a tekken but it was a lot better then previous MK games. But you can tell that this guy has been riding the Gravy train every since the first game. we need a new lead to take these series to the height's they deserve. Maybe a ex capcom developer would work.

@Dieofnv Well sir, i do know what i am talking about. The Mortal Kombat games have been sub par games for a long time, it's their violence and gore that generates most of the fun. This fact is supported when Midway/ed boon made MK vs dc universe. That game was not well received dude to the fact that they had to censored the violence. In fact the mortal kombat games were not allowed at EVO (the biggest annual fighting game tournament in the world) due to the lack of depth until 2011 when MK9 came out. Ed boon has been the lead designer on all of the MK games since the original. My point is Mk games lack depth and make up for that with over the top violence. and since this game will be teen, the appeal for this is lost. BTW capcom created the fighting genre with street fighter in 1987 and they know how to makes fighting games better then any other game developer, that's why I believe that boon should retire and let someone who is more capable take over for him.

Da characters I wanna see are Doomsday, Darkseid, Blue Beetle, booster Gold, Super Boy, Super girl, Mr. Freeze, The Croc, Bane, Clay Face, Cyborg Super Man, Spawn, Predator, Todd Rice, Power girl, John Stewart green lantern, Sadestro, Night wing, Red hood, Carrol Ferris, Abin Sir, Scarecrow, Manhunter, Black Atom, Captain Marvel, Lex Luthor, Donna Troy, The Question, Mongul, Shark, Beast Boy, Man Bat, The Joker, Aqua man, Atom Smasher,Big Barda, Imperiex, Kalibak, Zatanna, Dead Man, Mr. Miracle, Negative man. These are sum characters dat I hope 2 see in da game, their are so many DC characters so they have to put alot of characters on da game for it 2 b da ultimate DC fighting game.
Harley Quinn ala B Arkam series is great and probably all characters will have their classic outfits so theres no point in outfit complain.
I want The Spectre, Azrael and or Batman Azrael, Deadman, Doomsday, Nightwing, Capt Marvel, Black lantern black hand, Bane (the oficial comic one), Ares, Hades, Kyle Rayner Lantern, Eclypso, Martian Manhunter
I know that Catwoman,Deathstroke and Darkseid will probably be included
1 Like @danterlord Ed Boon himself said that the game is unique from the rest of the DC super heroes. and I'm not a "Gore Junkie" I was just mentioning that the company would make more money if they allowed Ed to work in his field of expertise, which is a mature title. I know it won't happen, I was just making a point. This game will still be awesome.

I'm stoked for this game. I'm a MK fan, and Ed Boon working with DC characters and sleek twisted costumes (Superman's and Batman's looking more like the NDCU)? Consider me in!
Not sure about this version of Harley Quinn, I hope that one of the skins will be the animated series skin of Harley.

It's a fighting game. For all we know, his armor could have enhanced properties which increase the power of his attacks. Like the impact dials in One Piece.
If this was based literally, there'd be zero chance in hell Batman could do anything to Superman. You could just stand there and let him wale on you while laughing and eating some pizza. In fact, based on the comics, Batman would eventually just break all the bones in his hand against you...
We know Batman is tech based, so I'd expect his physical stuff to be significantly less powerful than Solomon's or Kal-El's.
2 Like And Marvel vs. Capcom looks very realistic when Chris Redfield kicks the crap out of the Hulk or Wolverine defeating Magneto... It's just a game!
@DashRender619 I was thinking the same thing. I don't think this game is going to do well at all, just my opinion though.

Depending on who you're playing against {sic} it's going to also matter where you're going to play against." Dude, Dead or Alive and Tekken already did this. Even the trailer is a rip-off of the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom intro. Seriously, tell me what I'm missing here...
It'd be cool if they put in a tag-team feature where, instead of being 2 superheroes/villians together it's a superhero and a sidekick....
1 Like Ok, please... I know that a single punch from Superman could crush pretty much any character if we relly to the comics... But this is a fighting game. It has to be well balanced in order to be fun. I'm a big comic book fan and I enjoy this kind of games. I just wish that sometimes, fanboys would stop complaining about how, in real life, Superman would kick Flash's ass anytime and Batman is not that strong or whatever. This ain't real life, it's a game. Those are fictionnal characters, writers will do whatever they want with them in order to create a good game, like it or not. Oh, and I think this game is gonna be awesome.
@Douille1666 In the Justice League Unlimited animated series finale Superman tells Darkseid that he has been holding back all these years and pulling punches. If you look at that with regards to how Superman battles in this game then it all makes sense.
If superman uppercutted flash into space... shouldn't he instead just pulverize if he got hit with that much force?
1 Like "Not really a MK twist to it, but a MK twist to it." I love it. It looks like a darker universe and I like it. There doesn't need to be blood, but it needs to be brutal. I watched one video and I wasn't buying it. Right now I think I might.
