Given what an improvement 13-2 over 13 was, I hope this one follows the trend. Looking forward to seeing more.
Ni no kuni was the game that rewoke my intrest in J-RPG's and as i watched the grey design and heard the techno-metal song i realised this is the game that will make me loose intrest in the genre for the next couple of years.... until Level 5 reeases their next entry...
@farbrorbla dont play any of the 13 trilogy, they arent like the rest of the games, I-X, X2, and XII are nothing like the newest 3. and they dont normally have any techno music in the games or metal, the older ones had 8-bit and 16-bit music but that doesn't count.
Final Fantasy 13 is my favorite installment in the series, actually it is my favorite game. I am glad that out of all games it was the first to be chosen for a trilogy. At first I thought they were going to be randomly extending the story, but there appears to be planning involved. Pretty happy about this, sorry to all those waiting for the next installment. Ehh.. who am I kidding, no I'm not. Suck it!

@Karzovis You're excited because of trailers and dev. teams that you have seen and know makes a game. It could tank at release, and you and many others would feel stupid :P
I'm not excited, I pretty much have to own it as a matter of principle at this point.
And who knows, it may be the messiah of the series that everyone is making it out to be.
So only Lightning in this one. No party members. Probably skipping this one and it'll be the first Final Fantasy I didn't play.

3 Like don get me wrong, lightning is hot and all... but she is dead boring, not annoying, boring. annoying is vanille and serah (ugh)..
why cant we have a trilogy on fran and balthier?? awesome characters gone to waste.. but noo we get final fantasy 13-3 pff
1 Like @voljin1987 Never thought about it, but I would have to agree. They never did explore all of the FF12 world. The second empire was completely neglected aswell.
3 Like @voljin1987 Great comment, for me Fran and Balthier were two of the best characters FF games ever had, yet we have 2 sequels on one of the worst games of the series.
2 Like i just hope it doesn't completely drifts away from the story. I'd be really upset if it was ALL about Lightning. Serah can't have just died like that, can she?And there's also Noel and Yule . And Vanille and Fang who were rescued from the Crystal pillar. There are a lot of loose ends and I hope it all get's explained in this game!

2 Like WTH?! Sorry ou may not access this content? WTF Gamespot?! I can see content from games like Halo 4, but I can't do so with a game that will most definitely be a T-rated game? What is wrong with you? As for this, WTH Square, I thought you said the real ending of XIII-2 was going to be coming out as a download, but now you're finishing it off in ANOTHER GAME?! Don't get me wrong commenters, I love Light to death as she's one of my favorite characters of all time, but seriously Square? Why not just bring us KH3 or FFXIII Versus already instead of this? While I'm sure this will give you a large amount of money (like most of your mainstream titles do) but seriously doing all these other projects and procrastinating on titles that people have been waiting on for many years isn't cool. But I digress. I'm pretty sure this will be an awesome conclusion the XIII's storyline and also the storyline of the first full FF game that I personally played (never played any of the others, only watched a playthrough of X and learned about Cloud and significant characters from KH:CoM, the only full KH game I played.) Anyways, can't wait for this even though it could have been put a year or two back.

That's not a particularly exciting trailer. I enjoyed XIII-2, but the prospect of playing as only the least interesting character, and participating in such dull action as the trailer suggests, leaves me unlikely to pick this up.
Ever since FFXIV initial release (and versus taking so long), SE needed to find a means of making the series profitable whilst they worked hard on rebooting FFXIV and finishing off versus. For better or worse this meant making sequels to XIII. Also keep in mind that Hiroyuki Ito is likely working on XV (or something just as big) for the near future. In other words we had to suffer through at most 2 years before the good stuff comes out, ie Versus and Realm Reborn. Just wait.
Dammit square enix you can release a shitty mmo for pc and and not a good single player rpg for it.....
4 Like A trailer that consists of nothing but running around and fights with generic bad guys we fought in the other FF with Lightning... Err... Okay.. I'm far from hyped

Since when did Lightning use a great sword ?...looks like they tried to mix in some other FF hero's into it. Gotta say this doesnt look good, 13-2 left us with a lot of questions but this doesnt even look like a Final Fantasy anymore
