I'm so excited for this game! I've already pre-ordered. The only thing that I'm hoping is that they've fixed the syncing as some of the dialog looks off.

This game looks outstanding. The environment, guns, cars, pretty much everything screams awesome on a new level. Also thumbs up for the death system were you can only take a couple of shots before you kick it, helps the world and game feel more realisitic.
I'm a huge fan of open-world games, and I'd especially like one with a 1940s/50s setting. The gunplay, the detailed city and the overall feel of the game seems perfect. I'll definetly be giving this game a look when it comes out.
This looks like it will be a promising game i just hope its not short and you can actually take control and become a don and give orders to people but i do love the idea of the game it's going to be great

2K Czech is the new VALVe. We persuaded them with the forums to develop a realistic Mafia II, shocked by the initial consolisation. They persuaded us with an offer that we could not refuse, shocked by the initial clamouring. I am a PC, and Mafia II was my idea.

Is the acceleration Analog? Because if its not I'll be pissed. Using the triggers to drive is the best bet when it comes to driving. Tailing someone stealthily going full speed 70mph isnt fun, easy, or realistic. Plus it makes for easier turning and not slamming into cops.

@ohwhat_24 1. The horse head comment was a joke, I know what movie it's from. I don't expect every mob film and (or) game to include this. In fact, I expect quite the opposite. I was simply citing one of my favorite gruesome scenes within this context for fun. 2. I've seen all of those mob films and then some. I must say... I'm VERY impressed that you were able to list the top, most popular, mainstream mob films of all time. You must REALLY be a mobster expert. 3. Deep breaths, calm down, & spell check. It's going to be OK. *Raspy Italian voice* "If you ever disrespect me again, I'll have to put a horse head in your bed sheets because that's what all Italians do." P.S. On a non-sarcastic note.... If you're into the mob culture, look into some mob films other than those associated with just Italians. There are a few other cultures who sport violently entertaining organized crime as well.

@panalui86. Ya dude i played the first mafia and i really liked it. but from then on after playing grand theft auto it just wasn't the same. One key thing in mafia was the speed limit setting. waht would happen is you could set your car to the speed limit and stay at the speed limit. It doesn't seem like much but it allowed you to blend in so other mobsters and cops wouldn't suspect you. But everything about mafia is better than GTA. I had mafia for the pc which was the best version. hope they do well with this one.
2K continues to impress m like when their taking over the video basketball world and making EA look bad when the release Live. I've played GTA IV and got Red Dead Redemption too and as much as i love those games i would like for this one to be different in the sense that it makes you feel like a real mobster including all the do's and don'ts. s someone commented earlier their more to a gangsta them just killing people (random or not).
love the first one and this one looks fun too, although i think you should be playing as the son of tom
I can't wait, from the looks of it they might have weapon customization, which would be amazing, graphics are sick, driving looks fun...Can't freakin wait.
I'm afraid that it won't be as epic as the first part. I just hope that it won't be a wannabe GTA sort of thing, where you can have all the freedom and shoot everything and anyone randomly. I mean being a gangster is so much more than just shooting everybody
looks awesome i just hope they dont delay it again, they have delayed it soo much. Although i supose them delaying it makes it bettter as they can update it nd find any bugs.
Very interesting and fun video! This looks better than the first, by far! Although, I hope they put the "Flower Power van" from the first game in this as an unlockable vehicle. Visuals look very nice, which is always a good thing for a PC gamer like myself. Keep up the good work, 2K.
im surprised, having never played mafia 1 i wasnt expecting much, but this really does look nice :) might pick it up for PC :D
