The Local Justice DLC pack for Max Payne 3 drops on July 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and July 17 for PC.

1 Like So a bunch of map that were in sp are now ported to mp and cost money ? Am I right ? I never thought rockstar wh@ring out to the dlc business. They always had worthwhile paid dlcs.

4 Like @deekirk36 Actually, and unfortunately, I bought into the hype and the "great reviews" like 9.0s and 8.5s. Talk about a mindless, generic, and lame video game... I tried the campaign for an hour or two... Garbage... I tried to MP for 5 or 6 hours... Garbage... 4 minutes in between matches... Or did you not notice? You must enjoy staring at your screen waiting to actually play. And you must enjoy playing a really bad game... I traded it a couple of days later, and the Gamestop guy said "yeah it sucks, I don't blame you." I laugh at people who enjoy this garbage. Ha Ha Ha!!! Not
@God-of-Gaming Wait, so you are not laughing at people who enjoy this game? (the "Not" at the end of your comment sort of means you are not laughing after-all). This was a good game, though I would not have given it a very high score. I can't see how you can hate a game that, at the very least, you should have finished playing so you would have known for a fact that the game doesn't meet your standards.

its too bad this is gona cost money, it would have been nice for the first one to be free. Guess ill just have to wait til my budget allows me to buy it. The imperial palace map looks excellent. They still need to take the damage down some on the mini-30 tho, that rifle is so ridiculously overpowered.... i mean 2 shots and your dead, really? I dont believe 7.62 bullets has that much stopping power...i mean its not a .308, that would be more realistic for a 2, or even 1 shot takedown.
1 Like Either buy it or don't, but don't complain that it's not free. That's why I'm a PC gamer. For the most part, there's none of this premium "DLC." Good games attract thriving communities who release mods, maps and models for free. Take Left 4 Dead 2 for instance. There's so many maps out there that you can play a new one every single day- for free of course. Same with Portal. There's tons of car mods for GTA4. Meanwhile console gamers are frustrated with their limited number of maps on disk and paying for little avatars and map packs by the dollar.
Concerning MP3, I'm sure that at some point there will also be a thriving community of modders and mappers, provided Rockstar didn't lock down the game. Rockstar PC games have a good history regarding the openness of their engine to 3rd party content.
If you want the most bang for your buck, become a PC gamer. Sure, you'll have to get decent hardware, but as you invest in your system, you'll notice significant improvements.
If no one likes or agrees with DLC...don't buy! Simple!
The multiplayer in MP3 is an excellent and is only one of a few online games that I actually play - Halo Reach and Gears being but a few others. The Rockstar Social Club is cool as is the idea of crews. I've myself have bought the Rockstar pass so I'll be getting some of these maps for free overall. If you want to join my crew it's the 'BadHungryWolves' hehe!
The only thing I don't like about DLC is when they release them a day before the game is release - e.g. the DLC for ME3 or Dirt 3, or a few days after. That's a con! However, I've no real issues about a few extra maps for MP3 a couple of months down the line. It keeps that element of the game fresh and is something to look forward to. After all, Rockstar like any developer is a business so yeah they will look for ways to make more money though they're not forcing anyone to buy
I'm getting all the DLC, love the multiplayer(haven't even touched the story mode - bought this to prepare for GTA V online)...Sucks to hear so many people hate DLC, but I'm not going to try to change anyone's mind. Whoever is playing it find me on Xbox Live: Aquaman Rebirth.
"Map packs" are the new downfall of first person shooters..... Nay--- perhaps of all modern gaming along with "DLC".
They used to be called "expansion packs" and it meant you actually got something substantial. Why not release the content with the game instead of planning "map pack" content even before the game is released. We (the consumers) as well as you (the publishers and devs) both know you are just trying to screw us out of more money.

This should have been included if anything, not that anyone plays online. Just give us the co-op already before everyone stops playing this game altogether.
anyone know if you buy the DLC Rockstar pass for PC on Steam / Gamersgate. Will it work for the retail version of Max Payne 3 on PC ???
i was on for a few hrs last night..lotta people on -- the multi really isnt that bad -- people cheat in every game (even life) ill still gun you down from a mile out with the LAW, son
dlc are stupid shit, never will take one. btw MP3 isnt bad, but the first MP were much better- while MP3 has boring levels and shooting action, ok for playing, not ol for buying.
I play MP3 multiplayer every chance I get (when I'm not on Ghost Recon that is), got my Rockstar Pass so bring on the DLC Rockstar. I love yous guys. ;) BTW I'm always up for games so if your on PS3 in Aus n love MP3 multi give me a shout.
5 Like Does anyone even play multiplayer? I tried yeaterday on and off for about a hour and I got into one game. One. I spent 99% of the time in the menu waiting for other players to show up.
I really like the multiplayer as well, and i'm mostly a single player or couch co-op kind of guy. It is very deep with lots of game modes, customization, and tons of unlocks.

Because that is what good developers should do! BF3 and EA can go to hell with their $50 extra maps after I bought their game pre ordered for $60!
@Iron_aufschlag You must be new to gaming...everything costs,all DLC are usually 15$.They have to earn some money,they can't just give away free maps!
@Iron_aufschlag its called add-on. why should they continue making content for free? Not like they EA released maps aswell as weapons, and vehicles through next year. 50 bucks for premium which includes ALL 5 expansions.

2 Like In my opinion, Rockstar's way of making business is legit. They don't have online code or lock anything. They have nice features like the social club. I hope they hold on to their principles. If they release some substancial single player dlc, I'll encourage them for sure.

1 Like @DarthLod What? The campaign was Huge it took at least 12 hours to beat it. Besides what else could they add to the story? If they were to do single player dlc then maybe add on to the new york minute mode.

@megadeth1117 It doesn't take as much time as you think for someone that knows how to do this. It took them only a month for these updates. So if only 5000 people buy it, they will make 6*$5000 = $30000 in a month... It is worth $30000?

@JC_AEK4ever DLC is in development at the same time as the main game. Thats how developers push it out so soon after release. They straight up tell you what all the DLC is going to be because it's already planned out. Idiot.
