This week brings some Bad Company, baseball, and real-time strategy action to stores!
@mimicus I just hope that everybody (being all of the major reviewers out there) will review the game with just BFBC2 in mind. I honestly don't give a freakin hoot about how the game compares to MW2. The truth is they don't compare at all; because they're two completely different games, in almost every aspect. Yes there are similarities here and there, like a hardcore mode in each game, but so what? I could find a similarity between any two different games, randomly picked off my shelf. I wish people would realize, including those reviewers out there, that battlefield has, and hopefully always will be different from COD.
@JaxxRaxor I agree with you on that one for the most part. It's defiantly not the greatest place to look for reviews, previews, etc. That said, I think that there is some truth to what they mentioned in their review for BFBC2, and for the first time in a while, agreed with some of the things they mentioned, going off of my experience in the demo. But hey, I guess we'll all find out tomorrow. (I'm not sure when it comes out for countries other than the U.S. but I'm sure it's soon.) I'm sure it'll be a great game. See you guys on the battlefield.
@hitman6actual Too true. There have been some rating snafus here lately (I'm looking at you, McShea). It will all depend on who reviews it. If BC2 gets a lower score than MW2, I think we can justifiably declare shenanigans. I read IGN's review and it's good, but definitely biased. The reviewer mentions that BC attempted to take some cues from MW, but didn't quite "nail it." Of course, if he did his homework, he would've noticed that half of IW used to work for DICE. It only got an 8.9, which I think is absurd.
@hitman6actual Game Informer is one of the worst gaming magazines. Its the most popular in America, but only because you get subscription when you get the Edge card. Although I have been getting all of my gaming info from the internet because of the more up to date information that comes up.
@mimicus, Game Informer was given an copy of the game to review early and they gave it a 9.5. It'll be interesting to see what gamespot rates it though. I've lost some respect for their reviewers because of their recent under-ratings of AVP and Dantes Inferno. Hopefully they'll review BFBC2 right.
