people keep saying we hate this game because it is hack and slash ,but no the reasons i hate the game is its execution.the only thing the game is interested in is huge over the top and far fetched combat.if the game was hack and slash,stealth and some dept in story-line and characters it would have be okay.but instead it end up being a shallow hack and slash game with villains that look characters from heian dynasty
I was saying this before!!! It is a game from the minds of Bayonneta and DMC. Ofcourse it would be exclent!!! The stealth thing is for Snake and thats coming in due time. But now I'm really looking for something to wash off Ninja Gaiden 3 and this is it. The new DMC wasn't so bad but it laked the good ol' boss fights. The demo of this game looks promissing. Can't wait for this one. Japan are best when it comes to hack'n'slash and action games. That doesn't mean the US sucks at this sort a games "GOW!!!!!!"
Demo was fantastic. The FPS was incredible to me, especially on consoles. Definitely picking this up!

I usually don't play demos more than once but this game is boss and need's a pickup not your style of gameplay? understandable but don't be closeminded.
A new hero is rising !!! It seems Boss battles are going to be the main course and cyborgs the appetizers....XD

Played the demo yesterday and it has challenge, in other words i am sold a must buy for me.

I think he has no chance against all those cyborgs, but, the solar gun would help him a lot... hahahahaha

i dont get why people saying this looks bad if there is anything true about a game, before it releases it always look cool.
Lots of hate because it's too much of the Hack n Slashing... our fingers/thumb is getting tired and all bruised up for these kinds of 8hr gamer (DMC/MGR). spending $60 is not worth it anymore because DarkSouls is now the BEST game 24/7 and still with online PVP with lots of more level to level up per Invading and been Invaded just like the old arcade street fighter II when it first come out - but Darksouls is more challenging because everyone is good with their own skills,swords,armors and magics that can kill anyone anytime anywhere... Can't wait for Darksouls II... (PS3/XBox 360)
@InvadingKnight Dark Souls is an RPG, for an RPG its combat mechanics are great. However comparing it with a hack n slasher? It has nothing on this, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, or Devil May Cry. Heck I'll even say God of War III's fighting is more advanced than Dark Souls combat. But that's the point, they are primarily focused on the fighting, DS however is heavily based on stats/ invertory/ leveling. Like an.. RPG!
3 Like This has possibly the worst bosses I have ever seen, these guys belong in mega man as bosses they're so gimmicky. I'm gonna call the girl "Arm Thong", the guy with the ninja turtle weapons "Slap Chop Man" because apparently thats how became a cyborg, by a horrible slap chop accident , and the big dude "Solar Panel Dude".
Apparently in the future combat involves human slinkys, arm weapons, and solar panel shields .....and they all fight with swords because bullets aren't needed in the future.

It looks amazing. I wasn't going to watch the trailer because I don't want to spoil the game too much, but I caved. It looks so awesome.
1 Like @chazy035 partially. It kinda like tenchu, where you must crawl behind enemies and kill them before they notice.
no its not, its an action game and a spin off of the MGS series. the reason there is little to no stealth is because Raiden isn't doing a sneaking mission, he's doing full on combat.

The first 2 bosses are awesome, but the third tanky boss hasn't impressed my yet. Looks like a great game though.
