Wow: it's like everything bleeds red blood in "Revengence," even metal & cyborgs (yeah: I know they have some human components to them, but still).
Still looks interesting. Blade Mode can lead to some precise cuts in the right hands.

Heard that the birth of Solid Snake will be sort of the red wire throughout the game, and that the game will take place somewhere in the 70's.. So Big Boss will probably be the playable char. just like in MGS3.

it looks cool, but i think it will be like a previous comment i saw Metal Gear may cry.its hard to see a smash story, as soon as i saw how the game started up and the commenator guy started talking i knew this game wasnt gonna be a revolutionary game.but hopefully the full game will prove me wrong
correction to my reply: it is no real testing ground, but VR Training.. didnt notice before.
dude this is the tutorial at the start.. besides it totally fits into the story.
they took his body and turned him into this prototype cyborg and this is sort of a testing ground for him to get used to his abilities, like the guy said.
If u dont know the complete story of MGS 1-4 then u can never fully appreciate the story and setting.
this is a cool spinoff from the MGS series, I just KNOW it will be awesome.
It really reminds me of Kojima's zone of enders games on the ps2. Getting excited for this one.

I like it!! its cool raiden gets spin-off.
But im glad Metal Gear Solid 5 is also under way.. Solid Snake is the best. Hope they dont go too futuristic on that one
Press "ENTER"? pls make this for PC too :D It seems very fast paced which is a good thing I guess for a game not involving Solid Snake. I just hope if they do make another Solid Snake game they make it better than mgs3
@devrindare @wyh7 WHy Platinum Games's director Inaba claimed this would not be on the PC, he is the developer for this game and his words is no joke, anyway I can just get it on Xbox360 or borrowed it from others.........
Still want a PC game though, felt special for such an illusive game to pop out on the murky PC depth......please.......
@WillyChong @wyh7 maybe because Platinum games doesn't make PC games & do only console games but before we came to know that its being developed by Platinum games, we all know it was going to be on PC also. But development is in Platinum games's hand, so maybe PC version is cancelled & we'll know more about it in the future.
Is this a PC game or a Xbox 360 game? Either way I'm looking forward to it, cutting people or watermelon is good as long as there is something new in this game. Hopefully Raiden won't be a wuss like MGS2 or brain-dead like MGS4, something still show he is a human.
1 Like The layout and general look of the game seem fresh. The Metal Gear Solid series was getting old and heavy with all the thing that has happen. The new beginning with Raiden seem refreshing.
I noticed that when you sliced something it actually been cut where you did it and not some preset cut. This will be interesting to try.
I hope the narrative didnt take a hit in this game. Story is my faorite thing about MGS. Aside from that, the gameplay looks like a lit of fun.

I do have to say the mechanics behind sword mode are pretty cool, but I might prefer them on Wii or Kinect though. I do agree with shane though, looks like button mashing, but welcome to console games that make it to the PC.

Yep it will work, Kinect?!? that, the only thing I enjoy on the Kinect is Steel Battalion (my review tell you why), but for such a game....... no......... even the PS3 Rudolf controller makes more sense in this game than Kincet, for a system that equivalent to the price of the original console(yes, in Malaysia the Kinect is as expensive as the Xbox360) its just not very great since the response time is sueprisingly, still taking me over 30 seconds just to turn one menu to another, just can't get over it........ so no, Kinect can fuck off in this game, the classic controller rules! ( can get cheaper replacement, which a Kinect can't! )
yeah i guess the move controller could be fun with this game, havent touched it for a year though :)
What the hell is this crap? MGS was famous for its sneaking and strategic gameplay...hiding in boxes, knocking on walls to distract guards. This, however, looks like a mindless button masher with lots of colourful explosions for all the kids and no sense of gravity. Talk about dumbing down!
@shanethewolf This is not a Metal Gear Solid game, it is Metal Gear Rising. While I get where you are coming from, this game is meant to represent Raiden. If you played MGS:4, Raiden moved just like he did in this video. He was not stealthy and sneaking around. This is supposed to differentiate itself from Metal Gear Solid.
@shanethewolf Show me a game with a hit count or that counts hits on the screen, but is not (or cannot be) a button masher.
