Can someone tell me who forged his sword cause its the sharpest blade ever..and it never breaks crazy lol  This game looks great!  I love MGS but if you are a DMC or Onimusha fan or just like kick ass action games that are out of this world this could be a game for you. The cutting looks great.  If you like the traditional MGS then you probably won't get the idea behind this game. No snake no problem because raiden is like a terminator with a crazy light saber katana and is bat shit crazy!  Insanity, just yes!!!!! maybe snake will have to take down raiden because raiden's next body will have nuclear launch capabilities and and he is considered more dangerous than the metal gears because he cuts them up and spits them out like they are nothing....

Damn he's powerful!

This isn't the MGS series, they confirmed that there will be a MGS5. This game has nothing to do with MGS, this is a new game with a completely different character so please stop hating.

Mosdef doesn't look like a MGS game, but thats not a bad thing. Kojima is a great mind and I'm sure the game will be stellar. 

I was looking for SOLID SNAKE the whole trailer,but got disappointed:-(

MG series are still unique but surely not as astonishing as before...

I hate people that complain all the time "its not how it used to be" and "you 've ruined the game". Games are entertainment and in order to stay good they have to evolve. I can give you countless examples of games that kept repeating the same thing and ass a result gamers got bored of them. The conclusion is that if you don't like it don't play it. There are people like me that think its awesome and we will gladly play it because its an awesome game not because we care about the continuation of the series. \m/

I miss the mg sound track the most.

This trailer looks like it should be a parody! Cheesy dialogue and action scenes, lack of elegance, rap and rock music in the Metal Gear world.... ah. People have a right to complain about this. That's the purpose of sites like Gamespot! Sure it's MGR and not MGS, but that doesn't mean its okay to butcher the game world (pun intended).

Its looks better than the last trailer they released which was rather ridiculous, this looks a little more grounded with raidens character a bit more in place. But it still doesn't seem like metal gear and i stilll think the very first trailers of rising they released were much better and made me more excited about the game. Not mention its horrible sub title 'revengence' just scrap that call it Metal Gear Rising, the tag line does not need to be there and maybe I will feel a bit better about the game.

i guess now we all know  why the changed the name of the series again, since it's no longer "tactical espionage action" it's "lightning bolt action". and i'm totally cool with it since i know it's not a mgs, but a mgr, so i don't expect anything nostalgic from it.

Everybody needs to forget what they know about Metal Gear when approaching this game. According to the developer, the only thing that resembles Metal Gear is the story. The game itself looks like a Konami version of Ninja Gaiden, which I loved NG 1&2. I just hope the controls and movement aren't to japanesey. I can already tell by the way he runs that it looks like an anime character running. I can't stand most japanese games because of how terrible they control, ass-backwards. I'm hoping this turns out to be a great game.

I don't like Raiden... never have never will.  He was a bad idea to start with and is only getting more absurd.  I feel no connection with him, nor do I care about his story... boo hoo I'm a fricken super robot... really?  I'm really sad to see a great game title go to spit by using a POS character as its lead... Snake is the man, Raiden is a boy... end of story.

OK Im as huge of a Metal Gear series fan as anyone. This game may have a good story Idk. But these gameplay videos despite seeming like the ideas are cool look very rough. I dont know if this game will be able to be pulled off the way it may have been intended gameplay wise. Is there some sort of Sword (bullet) time going on? When it gets fast it look real goofy. The presentation of the trailer was nothing like a traditional MG game either which kinda scares me. These are just my takes from this trailer.

This game will probably be my game of the year....for real.

I love MGS been a fan for years idk how I feel about the series going into a new direction especially without Snake. The gameplay should be fun but still can fans get Snake back? I'll give Raiden credit he looks a bad a$$ & the things he can do is awesome.
