G 2 Star, A King Robed in Smoke?

I'm using Blango Z armor with C. Blango decimator and getting nowhere. My decorations yield attack up large, faint negated, and sharp sword.

I'm carrying all the obvious power ups and potions.

Any weapon recommendations. I have not been able so far
to obtain the edelweiss ice blade +. According to minegarde,
it requires HR9 but it says that for Atlantica also but I was
able to obtain that for defeating Lavasioth.

Thick daora dragon scale is all that remains that I need for the
Edelweiss ice blade + but fax only indicates rewards for G rank
daoras and the highest level I have access to is a HR6 daora.

I have defeated that several times without getting any thick daora dragon scales. I don't know if it's bad luck or not available.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've also played MHFU however, I could be wrong but I never had thick version of scales unless it's G rank missions in the house from the ladies. I hope it helped ΩΩ
