Contact Dunk

Does anyone know how to get your character to be able to do contact dunks? I'm a 6'7 PG and just wondering if it was possible to just plow through traffic to throw it down.

My dunk is at 87 and I consistently do contact dunks. I am pretty sure vertical and dunk ratings are the only ones that affect it.

The dunk rating is a big part of it, but the style of dunk package you have can also affect your contact dunks. If you set your dunk package to "no dunk package" instead of rimgrazer, you will get a bigger variety of dunks and some good contact dunks. Also, dunk packages like: Iguodala, Garnett, Stoudamire, or some of the other big men, will have animations that let you jump into defenders and slam. Most of the time, you have to find some kind of space without anyone directly between you and the basket. Getting fouled while dunking is the best, as long as you make it a 3 point play.

Also, the Air Jordan dunk packages is also good for doing contact dunks.

I was a 6'7" PG & i rarely got contact dunking but i did however had a better chance for putbacks. My vert was pretty high for me to be able to do so. I use the athletic pack for my SG & SF and i get so many dunkfaces on breaks or when i have an open lane.

One time on a break, association mode, i passed to derrick rose & he dunkfaced kevin love! Lol you can imagine how excited i was.

Anyway, as for getting contact dunks people said use JR Smith or Pippen. They said Pippen gets contact dunks a lot.

Thanks for the input. I'll try that when I get enough cash in game to do so.

My Vert and Dunk are already maxed out so the dunk packages are the only things I haven't tried.

Like Merclius_one said, the Scottie Pippen dunk package is good for contact. It's also my favorite dunk package, not to mention its one of the cheaper ones. If you get drafted around 11th or better, you should be able to get a decent jumper and pick up the Pippen dunk package during your first season. It kind of reminds me of some of MJ's dunks but less flashy and more business.
