This is by far the best basketball sim available on ps2, previous reviewers who say the game is to hard have not spent time looking in the options menu where you will find various sliders to increase or decrease difficulty, an example being , you can set your free throw accuracy to 100 percent which makes it near impossible to miss. It is possible to make the game to easy by increasing the user sliders but after a quarter or two you will find the right balance.

A few poor notes to mention is the inability to create a team from scratch, as many people out there, they would love to be able to create a team containing a few legendary players such as Michael Jordon or Magic Johnson, it is possible to add a few legendary stars to your roster but this is pointless as it isn't possible to take your created team into franchise mode which for me was a real down-side, another downside is the salary cap which at teams can be frustrating especially if like me, you choose to play as the LA Lakers, its impossible to sign any star quality player without spending ages clearing your whole team out.

Overall NBA Live 07 is a good game and can be addictive however gets repetitive after 80 or so games so you will more than likely find yourself simulating a few just to pass the time more quickly.
