Some key improvements make this game much better than its predecessors. Definitely worth the $2 I paid for it!

- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Best in series"
Why anyone would buy this year's NCAA Football 2010 is beyond me. Soooo expensive, and with other great versions, a waste of money.
This brings us to NCAA Football 08 - what is by far a better game than its earlier installments.
The Improved:
1. Call me silly, but I really like the Trophy Room revitalization. The way its presented is such an improvement over the old series its quite amazing. The jumbo trons which display recorded plays from past games is awesome! I can't get enough of watching that 105 yard interception returned for a TD, etc. And the picture slideslows are great too. The trophy cases themselves are great, having rivalry items especially (The Axe or Brown Jug etc). Really though, it would've been really sweet if you could organize the cases themselves - the one downside here.
2. Recruiting recruiting recruiting. I mean why else does anyone play this game rather than madden. I mean, the ability to recruit rocks. But in this year's iteration this part of the game is much more intelligent and requires deep strategy. Sure, it takes up time, but its definitely a fun minigame, and really feels satisflying when you get that pick you've been working on all year! The phone minutes alotment makes much more sense than the "points" allotment of past years. Glad they finally invested in this feature!
So, If you're looking to pick up a cheap football game, especially if you can get the madden 08 too (though its not as good as this game) to save your draft classes, THIS ITERATION of NCAA Football is a very good choice!

Great game that fixed a lot of the problems from last year's game.

Here's one way to get the achievement. You should not have too much of a hard time getting it. For those that don't know how to use the Pause feature. The play is an Inside Cross under Standard Pass. Just hit the TE (Y) before he goes out of bounds.Posted Aug 24, 2008

Easy achievement. Just go to the Mascot Game in the Main Menu and choose any team to play, doesn't matter. You do not even have to play the game if you don't want too (even though they are sort of fun).Posted Aug 24, 2008
