Haven't played FEAR in a while, maybe this'll get me excited about it again.

PS3 gets all the exclusive content because Sony pays the companies to put them in so then people will buy the PS3. BUT NOBODY LIKES THE PS3!!!

Streets Redux is so much fun. Im glad these maps are free or else I wouldve missed out on that one.

I had the 360 version of FEAR the online was absolutely dead which was a shame.

Don't own either game, never even played FEAR, but it is always good to see proper use of the Market Place.

I dont mind paying for content, the only thing that i don't like is that it makes games i have completed hard for me to sell, i mean if i have bought the game, then bought 2 packs at 1600 ms points, i lose that. It's not transferable so i either keep the games forever, gathering dust, or lose the cash. It's not the amount of cash, just the principle. I would much prefer buying a disk with the content on. Also, Ubisoft will most likely release a full "premium edition" eventually, which will make my copy of R6V worth nothing.

Micro transactions like these suck. You have to pay to play, and you have to pay for new maps. True that you don't have to buy it if you don't want it, but if you're going to make me pay for something, at least let it be a full expansion pack like Lord of Destruction was to Diablo 2 or something substantial, not a pack of 3 maps for $10, that's just ripping console people off. You don't see them try that on PC, heck, the maps are usually free in an update patch! So why do the console players have to pay more, if they're already making the map for PC, and for free? (maps in general, not just for R6V)

i agree with DryvBy2. but there have been plenty of articles detailing how MS refused to give anything free. or if they do (FEAR) its for a game that's what...2 years old now? who the hell is still playing FEAR on LIVE? seriously. oh and PS3 Vegas, with packs & exclusive modes/maps = $60. playing PC and PS3 online = free

i'm excited to play R6. i pick it up today for the PS3. the wait has kind of sucked but at least i don't have to worry about paying for the extra maps and modes. not to mention i can play for free online. patience is a virtue i suppose.

I was highly disappointed in the Vegas: Red Pack. I can't understand how these publishers sucker 360 owners on this crap when you get this stuff for free on a PC. PC Vegas = $50 - $40 360 Vegas, with packs = $80+ Better yet, the PC version looks better. What's the deal, MS?

It's nice to see developers taking advantage of the Marketplace with extra maps, etc. to increase replay value. With several games now, right when I start getting bored with them, something cool will come along to extend my experience with it, even if it does cost a few bucks. This is good for the most part, but some companies are downright abusing the microtransaction system by making people pay for stuff that's already on the disc (cough, DDR, cough). As long as companies keep selling worthwhile stuff that wasn't included in my original $60 disc, I'm going to keep buying. Oh, and yay for free FEAR stuff. The new modes sound pretty sweet.

Rainbow 6 Vegas maps should be free after you have already paid for game. Does anyone know if people still play FEAR online? because i was thinking of getting it but ive heard no many people still play it nowadays

Fear has to have like the best on-line play on the 360 i hope they can put PC and 360 multi play soon

But the big advantage on Live is that we don't have to play with a bunch of PC owning snobs who think they rule the planet and feel they have to look down their noses at console owners... and that alone makes it worth at least $100. Nor do console owners have to update their over-priced machines every time a new game comes out, we don't have to check a list of specs to make sure a game will play on our machine and we get a controller custom designed for gaming not a keyboard designed for typing letters. As for the 360 becoming like a PC, lets not mention the PS3 which is so crippled by a games shortage its having to rip off PC software like Second Life to try and cover up the fact that Sony don't seem too bothered about games this time round.

jakinja Damn that's all free on the PSN. But it's good to see that the XBL version is still including it. Everyone was soooo happy that the ps3 version got "exclusive maps." I kept tryin to tell them it wasn't exlcusive. I mean of course they will try to make more money off it... NOw lets look forward to getting cross-platform multiplayer. If this is the way its gonna be I suggest doing what Gears did, release map packs for points so the hardcore users will buy and then down the road release them for free.

would be cool if they made an update to support offline multiplayer with people :) for fear :P
