I'm gonna wait until a game of the year edition including all the dlc's for the game come out. Not going to play Skyrim till then, that way when I play the game of they year edition I will enjoy it as if it just came out and probably much more!
All Skyrim DLC coming to PS3 next month

Bethesda bringing Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard expansions to Sony console in February; PC players get Dragonborn content Feb. 5.
Downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 next month. Bethesda announced today that all three expansions for the role-playing game will arrive in February, beginning with Dragonborn. Hearthfire will release next, followed by Dawnguard.
In addition, Bethesda will also release the 1.8 update for Skyrim on PS3 next month just ahead of Dragonborn's launch. No specific release dates for any of the expansions were divulged.
All Skyrim expansions will be 50 percent off during their launch week on PlayStation Network.
Bethesda also announced today that the PC version of Skyrim will add the Dragonborn expansion February 5 through Steam. It will be available in multiple languages, including English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German.
In October, Bethesda explained that the missing Skyrim DLC for PS3 was "our problem, and it's on us to fix it." Prior to that, the company said potentially unsolvable issues could keep Dawnguard from ever releasing for PS3.

I haven't noticed whether it's on PSN but noticed the new trophies have appeared. I'm done with skrim now anyway. After well over 150 hours and much enjoyment, I've really got no urge to go back to it. My character is ridiculously overpowered now anyway.
Take an extra couple months to fix it and you give us half price for a week? No thanks, I'll wait for the Game of the Year version.
Wait until they push it back to April 1st. That's going to be hilarious. I've started two new games in preparation for the dlc, but I'm patient.

5 Like Skyim is easily the best game created for the ps3. For me, any problems with the game are far outweighed by its brilliance. Well done Bethesda. Looking forward to the dlc. For all those still spitting dummy's; go buy an xbox...me, I'm a playstation man...always have been, always will be.

2 Like skyrim has worked fine for me on ps3. so i'll definately be picking these dlcs when they are released, cant argue with 50% off. hopefully there will be a goty edition soon now.
I would love to buy Skyrim for my ps3. But after playing Fallout 3 GOTY, having it slow down and crash on me repeatedly, then for Bethesda to say "there is nothing we can do" when I emailed them, has put me right off. By the time they got to the GOTY edition, issues like that should have been resolved.
Either release the game for the PS3 in full working order, or just don't release it for that console.
I'm concerned that I would encounter similar issues in Skyrim too.
Now that's dedication. I highly respect Bethesda for giving it their all and making sure they made the content work. I'm very happy that PS3 will be getting the content finally. I'm also happy that I only have a little longer to wait to get Dragonborn on PC :).
@Red_Dawn345 well, we are a lost market after all. It is in their best interests to ensure DLC is released on the console.
I love skyrim what makes this literally the best deal, is it's half off. $ 22.50 for all 3 dlc's on the first week. Wow. Bethesda is giving us all a apology for the delay's. Btw will the glitches be fixed? I am a ps3 user, and have heard about glitches I hope will be fixed. Plz reply someone who knows :/
Yeah ps3 is becoming a dead weight kind of console, the i'll be pleased with whatever little scraps you throw my way type brand.

4 Like @m4t3u5LP @tmthywtsn Also, Journey. The game most GS writers picked as their game of the year is only on PS3. As well as Ni No Kuni Curse of the White Witch a game everyone is raving about. If you want exclusives its PS3 hands down. Xbox has one huge exclusive Halo and in terms of numbers its pretty much enough but in terms of artistic unique games its no question. In fact if you don't have a thing for Halo I see no reason to pick Xbox on games alone. Unless you are some huge obsessive Alan Wake fan.

Lets hope this update actually fixes some of the problems before they create more by releasing the DLC

I never stop playing beat it and made a second game and play both and dived new stuff all the time bout to play it now I knew they won't gonna let the ppl down can't wait
I may or may not get dawnguard and dragonborn on PS3, I'm kinda over skyrim and waiting on the next fallout game, I'm hoping it's one of the first next gen games too.
theres alot they can do with the next fallout to improve on the last one AND on skyrim.

@GamerMani Sure even though you have no argument or even a shred of evidence or facts to back this up. I mean seriously are a f****ing idiot? Skyrim on the PC is a step behind? I know I am over reacting but the amount of idiots on these forums is just amazing. It took less then two full sentences for me to know your an idiot Gamermani (only reinforced by your SN)
To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with Skyrim, even the PC version. For some reason, it just didn't grab me like Oblivion did and I ended up quitting it after around 30 hours of gameplay. If I had the PS3 version, I would have probably quit a lot sooner and I can understand why PS3 owners feel so disgruntled. Hell, their game doesn't even work properly, never mind the fact that they've had to wait months for the DLC.
In the end, I just don't see what made this game so special that it took GOTY away from Dark Souls, which I feel was much more deserving.
@TenraiSenshi I agree with you. Dark souls is a much better game, and the format is revolutionary, at least for the current games out there. Skyrim, while still a great game, doesn't bring anything new to the table really, its another elder scrolls with more bugs than ever before.
1 Like @TenraiSenshi Because my good friend, Skyrim is more playable for everyone. Even the regular average person can learn how to play Skyrim relatively easy. Dark Souls difficulty is what kept it away from GOTY. Although I agree Dark Souls is a better game you have to think about it business wise. When a regular guy, who is a casual gamer, comes home from busting his hump at work for 15 hours, do you think he is gonna want to play a game that only has one insanely hard difficulty that he is going to keep dying and dying and get stressed out about it, or do you think he is going to want to play a game in which he can progress through the story in a fun, steady pace. There is more casual gamers then there is hardcore gamers, its just a fact so when they choose GOTY there gonna pick a game thats great for EVERYONE not just the hardcore gamer who likes an extremly hard challenge.
Why bother? It's too late and the jig is up, people know that the spears this adds are just big arrows and you can't become a werebear.

I guess I need to go back to it and actually finish the main quest. Games like Skyrim are great because they offer so much to do, but to me this is also their downfall because they distract you with so many other quests and things to do that the main quest is sometimes forgotten. This is what happened to me. I have logged over 200 hours in this game and I have yet to finish the main quest. Maybe if I finish it I will get the DLC.
@demayor You're right. There is so much to do in Skyrim. But to be honest, many of the side quests are better than the main quest so you aren't missing much. It's worth finishing though. Great game overall.
