Angry Birds dev reveals Bad Piggies
Rovio's new game out Sept. 27 for iOS, Android, and Mac has users playing as the pigs with new gameplay that does not involve slingshots.
Ever wondered what Angry Birds would be like from the pigs' perspective? Gamers will have the chance to find out later this month when Bad Piggies comes to iOS, Android, and Mac on September 27.
There are no slingshots to be found in Bad Piggies, with the game instead offering something "innovative" and new. According to executive vice president of games at Rovio Petri Järvilehto, the game will reveal what is happening inside the minds of the pigs.
Bad Piggies will need to perform mightily if it wants to capture the success of Angry Birds. That game has been downloaded over 1 billion times, spawning a sequel--Angry Birds Space--as well as a partnership with Grammy-winning rock band Green Day.
Bad Piggies will launch sometime later for Windows Phone, Windows 8, and PC.
