Angry Birds Star Wars hits Facebook
Rovio brings bird-flinging licensed game to social networking site with new powerups, additional features.
Angry Birds Star Wars has entered a new realm: Facebook. Developer Rovio Entertainment has announced that the bird-flinging strategy game is now available to play through the social networking site. Angry Birds Star Wars for Facebook sports the same feature-set as other versions, but with added items and social components.
Angry Birds Star Wars on Facebook includes new powerups (Blaster Droid, Saber Sling, and Thermal Detonator) and a new Clone Bird ability. This allows players to create a duplicate bird to assist in certain situations.
The game also allows players to compete and cooperate with their friends either by sending gifts to each other or duking it out for the highest score on leaderboards. Angry Birds Star Wars launched November 8 on a host of platforms.
